The 2nd best home team in the league (PPG) and having only lost one game at Flamingo Park from 16 games.
On average they score two goals per game at home and concede less than one goal per game. They have the third best defensive home record.
We are the second best away team in the division (PPG) and score on average just over a goal per game whilst having conceded on average a goal a game.
Both Clubs are currently producing mid table results, only taking four points apiece from their last four games.
Scarborough have 8 points from their last 6 games.
Scunny have 7 points from their last 6 games.
Safe travels to everyone who makes the journey to the game.
February 11, 2024 at 9:18 am #280865Sounds like another away draw then.
February 11, 2024 at 11:46 am #280873We’re on a rinse & repeat cycle.
February 11, 2024 at 6:18 pm #280891Home win then
February 13, 2024 at 5:26 am #280973The boss man in their technical area had 13 seasons in the Premier League and 7 seasons in the Championship as a player and has a Champions League winners medal in a drawer somewhere.
The guy in our tactic-less area has…
We just need to see a good performance, a solid, hardworking team taking pride in representing the Club and people of Scunthorpe.
I can handle losing if they’ve put a shift in, put their heads & bodies on the line, given blood, sweat & tears for the Club!
Apathetic surrender by non-essayeurs isn’t acceptable and needs driving out of the Club!

February 13, 2024 at 8:16 am #280975Mr Greening also a very good academy coach. Saw him in charge of a team playing our U18’s a few years ago. Educating his players and taking no bad attitudes from any of them they did not answer back twice !
He was impressive.

Low; being a 1pm kick-off, it will finish within the blackout window, which starts at either 14:30 or 14:45, I forget exactly when.

February 13, 2024 at 7:16 pm #281009I think Scarborough will do well to hang on to Greening. He’s worked wonders on a shoestring budget. He’s ambitious and Scarborough are surely a springboard for him. I bet his ultimate aim will be the West Brom job (where he holds “legend” status as he was skipper of the 2008 side that won The Championship). A long way off that but he’s made an impressive start to his managerial career.
Apparently he previously applied twice for the Scarborough job and didn’t even get an interview!

February 13, 2024 at 9:05 pm #281022Not scheduled for streaming which seems a missed opportunity for both clubs and the National League to make some dosh.
Tuesday away matches at Spennymoor and Darlington not scheduled for streaming either. Strange decision to not stream away games for a club in the top 6 for attendances across the whole National League structure.

February 14, 2024 at 12:07 pm #281037We may think we’re a big club in the scheme of things, the club definitely think we’re a big club (let’s beat the record NLN highest attendance) but in reality we’re not last Saturday alone told me that, you get nothing extra for having the biggest fan base in the division no one’s going to roll over for us Ex league team or not.

February 15, 2024 at 8:13 pm #281115Once again, 1-1 is the shortest priced scorecast.
1-1… 5/1
0-1… 15/2
1-2… 8/1
0-2… 9/1
1-0… 9/1
0-0… 10/1
2-1… 10/1Sadly, I’m going to have to say 2-1

February 16, 2024 at 10:20 am #281134looking forward to this one…couldn’t get a ticket in the away end but managed to sneak one in the home end. Just need to pretend to be a neutral on the day and not get too excited if / when we score.
