“Scunthorpe United FC
@SUFCOfficial
INTERVIEW: First team manager Neil Cox provides team news and previews the trip to face Bradford City on Saturday”
I’ll paraphrase it to save you reading it.
“I’ll be picking the same mixture of unfit, disinterested and sub-standard players as in the last few weeks. We’ll set up to keep a clean sheet and hope to nick a goal if we can be a***d to shoot. At the final whistle all of us will be disappointed and hurting. Thank you”
Careful ‘tash. That could be construed as shameful personal abuse.
Probably could NI but also probably true.
Just had a WhatsApp conversation with my Bantam mate. Here’s the cut-and-paste: –
“Thanks. Agree a draw would suit us both, but reckon you’re due a win. My boys are set up negative; lost that winning feeling and even the ball’s stopped running in our favour. Need season to finish asap; shed the out of contracts and start again next season.”
Not just us then, but I wish we had their 58 pts!
Should be a cracking match on Saturday between two teams that have both lost their last five matches. so Cox should go for a 5-4-1 system, and try and hold out for the first 30 mins, but not to conseed three goals in the next nine mins like Tuesday, I have gone for a 1-0 home win, but could be a 0-0 draw. I have just thrown another £10 away for i-follower screening, that brings my 2021 seasons fees to £220 season ticket plus £230 for 23 away matches on i-follower thats £450, that from a pensioner should qualify me for a small part of the ground ha ha!
I believe the money you have paid out to watch utter dross this season BS is the price of loneliness, can’t have been easy for you the last 15 months or so. Hope the guys grab a win for you this Saturday, take it easy old man. 👍
