Well same as once again, 20 mins to go and 3-1 down, this will be the 53rd match and only 4 wins during this pathetic period, there is no wonder that Swann is no longer gobbing off his bullshit, although we have had seven years of it, so no wonder he hides out of the way of the once 5,000 devoted supporters.
Our club is ruined with Swann at the helm, we no longer have a league team, no decent players, no ground, no money and down to less than 2,000 fans who are still turning up in hope of some kind of change, but this will not happen when a club is run by a Chairman that has given up hope, and the only change will be that the club debt will be getting bigger each week, and administration must be getting nearer week by week.
The past four years have been heart breaking for the once loyal fans that used to treck down to GP each week for years on end, for it all to end like this, for Christ sake Swann, we have had more than enough of your bullshit and management skills.

March 19, 2022 at 5:06 pm #233870Odd game.
First thing and the most important thing – as a team, they were two divisions better than we were. For the first time in a while the central defence was abject.
Why so awful in defence? – Surely, the absence of Grant was like being smitten with a two by four about the head.
So many good bits amongst the horrific bits.
Disagreed with Hinds about ‘lack of effort’. A number of players performed well. The others were just not good enough.
Bang goes my theory that Taft is better not being alongside Manny.

March 19, 2022 at 5:20 pm #233873These professional years of chairmanship are so much better than those hobby years. Imagine a businessman trying to be professional being bested by someone just mucking about in hobby mode.

March 19, 2022 at 5:41 pm #233877All I can say is I’m glad I didn’t make the effort to go today, from what I’ve read the players made less effort than me. Have promised the grand kids 2 more games Orient and Bradford and one has talked his other grandad to take him to Bristol, oh to be young, they shed their tears at playoff defeats, now there hard as nails after the last 3 seasons and under no illusions about Scunny, but the love is there.

March 19, 2022 at 5:44 pm #233878You expect a result like this once a season but if we thought last season was a wakeup call this one is beyond belief, even with the squad we have you would expect more wins than we are getting and better performances.
it shows the problem when our best player this season has struggled in previous seasons and the young lads have looked not out of place, yet they haven’t been outstanding results wise at their own age level.
also the number of players we have injured, some in the line of duty and others if they play 20 minutes, also where are Jarvis, Perry and KDT are they injured or frozen out, this is the worst season I have known since my first game in 1961, and certainly worse than the 70s and most of the 80s.

To be fair, I am amazed this was ever a theory, especially that Taft was alongside Davis for the Harrogate debacle.

March 19, 2022 at 6:24 pm #23388850s and 60s were brilliant Mick!!!!
And you could name the team for the coming four matches, there were none of these long term injuries, unless a break of bone was involved, I am wondering just how many present day injuries are caused by all this bloody stupid diving and rolling about like circus clows, to then get up and run about five seconds later.
So it ended up being 5-1, and there was me thinking it was bad enough at 3-1, I just looked at the table, Scunny have only scored 26 goals in 38 league matches this season, and there were 322 fans trapsed to Salford to see this pathetic rubbish team, in my opinion supporters should boycot the next home match just to show their feeling towards Swann’s handling of our club.

March 19, 2022 at 6:36 pm #233891I can’t speak about the 50s but it was good in the early 60s but not the late, when we played in Red it was like a curse which was lifted when we went back to Claret and Blue, though I like the White and Blue of the 60s, but the 70s was awful apart from one season, this season has been worse than that.
At least Grimsby and Southend made a fight of it last season, we just go through the motion.

March 19, 2022 at 7:26 pm #233902At least we haven’t needed to get nervous this season.
March 19, 2022 at 7:33 pm #233903I see Mr Hill missed the game today because of illness. Allegedly he’s got a bad side.

March 19, 2022 at 8:57 pm #233908If it was a boxing match this season would have been stopped long ago we are just the league whipping boy, listened to Tony McMahon after the game he said they (him and hill) show by tv footage and tell the players how teams will play and train to nullify the threat then the players go out and don’t do anything they are asked to do.
PLEASE LET THIS SEASON BE STOPPED NOW TO SAVE ANYMORE EMBARRASSMENT
March 19, 2022 at 9:07 pm #233910Obviously Swann has not got the guts to confront the fans or radio to explain what will happen next season. It’s OK giving next seasons prices but what players will be there to compete
Or his he saying he will close the club down if season tickets are not sold????2 users thanked author for this post.
March 19, 2022 at 9:53 pm #233914Why would you invest in this chairman’s vision
Don’t do it until HE SHOWS US HIS AMBITION!!!
I predict that He’ll happily take 2,000 decent Scunny folks money and put another embarrassment of a football team together if we are not careful… it’s time to hold this man to account! Don’t buy anything until we see what he’s going to do to sort this sh*T show out!!!!
