so with talks of 20 man first team squads and a budget of £1.25m each what sort of squad do you think we will have if this comes off, seeing we have players left who must be on more than the £1200 approx a week average but no talk of attendance based, only a 12 month period to get contracts down to that level, with relegated teams then given a 12 months to then comply, would it work or would teams find loopholes, certainly looks like players would have to take a hit in the pocket.May 20, 2020 at 1:32 pm #177523

Didn’t Swann say before the end of this season that he was looking at a £1 budget? So if that’s true, it wouldn’t have much of an impact on us.
Makes sense to me, good to see some sort of solidarity amongst clubs, about time.May 20, 2020 at 1:34 pm #177525

I would tend to agree with it, unless you was to allow a bit more for expensive living areas, IE London. Possible an end of season bonus for achieving something. I seem to think the season Cardiff came here with their end of season promotion party they got £100k per man from SamMay 20, 2020 at 2:04 pm #177528

How about a premier league salary cap?
See how that works out first.
