At the Shareholders Meeting Hilly was asked about playing some of out younger players. He said he is aware of the quality of some of them, the reason for not playing them currently is he’s not wanting to expose them in the current first team as it is, I guess protecting them if you like. He does see youth development as very important – so I think we’ll see Wilson and maybe others when the fitness levels are where they should be, and the first team are playing like Hilly wants. And hopefully have turned a corner…

Agree, difficult to introduce youngsters into a shambolic team. When/if enough of the regulars gain some confidence by winning a few games there could be an opportunity.

I fully agree with the sentiment that you have to be careful with youngsters but it still feels like a bit of an excuse from Hill. Young players have to be supported and not hung out to dry but they also don’t have the mental baggage of older players, they often play with far less fear and they might just be the answer.

Loft wants away eh that old chestnut, nobody to my knowledge has come up with anything to back up any stories about him, he was only brought in to be a makeshift to Kvv and what a good job he did last season his goals earning enough points to keep us up, unlike my hero kev who was missing in action last year, should we be talking of Loft as our main striker? Of course not but there should be a place for him in our squad, at the moment he is the best of a bad bunch.

Nowt wrong with introducing the likes of Wilson for the last 15/20 minutes.

Particularly if we’re after a goal, which we usually are!

I don’t see Hill being much of a mug, quite the opposite. If Wilson was tearing it up in training and better than those already in the squad then I’m sure we’d be seeing more of him. We’re not, which to me suggests he’s not ready yet.

Doubt Hill has even seen Wilson, can’t think I can remember the under 18s training with the first team but will have a look when I pick up my Hartlepool tickets. So unless there’s someone saying boss you really must look at this lad Wilson he probably won’t see him, never saw Cox at app frod watching the young uns.

Only problem is Jarvis is worse then Loft. O’Neil is even worse than Jarvis. Turan is even worse than O’Neil

I’d take Turan over O’Neill anyday of the week! I’d take Sunday league players over O’Neill

Jessop is way out of his depth he isn’t nowhere near the 1st team

Criminal Wilson isn’t even getting on the bench anymore!

How could there be any argument about having him on the bench?

Say, we are cruising along at 3 – 0 he could be introduced and tried out.
In the rather lesser likely scenario that we are trailing by one goal and we are making no progress – again he could be given a chance.

I agree with others that there is perhaps something here which we either don’t see or that we are not being allowed to see.

‘The lad’s undercooked. He’s not ready yet,’ completely contradicts what we witnessed with our own eyes in pre-season.

Now les, there’s optimism but it surely has its limits. (I presume you’ve had a couple?)

He said he is aware of the quality of some of them, the reason for not playing them currently is he’s not wanting to expose them in the current first team as it is

We’ve had games this season “worthless cup games” never even made the bench. Sorry not buying it.

Cox came up with utter shite when he was asked as well. This seems all too familiar to the Joey Dawson scenario.

Everybody was screaming for Dawson to get a shot…excuse after excuse and he then moved to Celtic for a compensation fee.

Hill said the other day that O’neil would be part of his squad but was coming back from injury, he plays Jarvis and yet Wilson can’t even make the bench and come on for 20 mins here and there ?

This all seems a bit odd to me. I can’t for the life of me see how allowing a talented youngster to come on for 15/20 minutes when we’re struggling is going to somehow curtail his career.

I could be wrong but I suspect we’re not being told the whole story here.

“I agree with others that there is perhaps something here which we either don’t see or that we are not being allowed to see”

    I’m thinking exactly that !

Said it before WG but I’ll say it again, get your arse down to training and ask Hill personally they normally come out between 10.30 and 10.45. What don’t you get about Hill not seeing Wilson play? Ps neither have I,unless you can enlighten us on the game he’s played in while Hill has been here. Or should the manager be reading Bru posts and be picking his team from there because obviously we know best.

Talk on the terrace wasn’t favourable about Loft today.

Be surprised if he’s still here after January

I don’t think Hill’s too keen either. Loft threw a strop when he was subbed last game. Hill will move him on in Jan and get somebody else in.

Loft has been shite since club were supposed to have been interested in him. I think Loft was asked about his long term future here and he said in so many words that he’s probably going to move on.

    No loss.

Loft is not, and never will be a player that is good enough to hold down a league 2 place in any team, he has been shite, but now that he has the strop on, he does not even appear to be trying. Basicly, he cannot control a football, he cannot find a fellow team player with a pass, and last but most importantly he cannot finnish with a goal, either with his head or his feet, so he is not worth a place even in our teaM, Scrimshaw and Jarvice are better players.

Do not hold on to him if the unlikely fact that any team comes in for him, pay for a taxi and get rid.

Supporters either rate players and enjoy watching them, or they just accept what is put in front of them, players that I rated were Wootton, Hopper, Goode, McAtee and Kanavan Sutton whilst I thought that Novak, Howard, Green, Hippolyte and Loft were never ever going to be favourites of mine and nothing can change thast view of mine.

Loft thinks he is better than he actually is.

Hill is demanding high standards in training and told shareholders some players would resist his regime and they would be weeded out.

Every one keeps banging on about Wilson, I saw him play the first half v Man City and he did not strike me as anything special. Other young lads in that game aquitted themselves much better.
