Hope it’s not him…
October 5, 2020 at 7:25 am #195449My memory isn’t what it used to be.
Irrespective of the above, can anyone else remember when Colclough last had a good game? – You know, a 7/10?
Has there been one since he recovered from his bad injury?October 5, 2020 at 8:11 am #195450I know he was involved in at least one incident whilst playing for Crewe which I think even made the national press. It may explain why his game time has been limited this season. It will make him less attractive to other clubs who may have been looking at him, although as Les pointed out it’s been a while since he played consistently well.

Has there been one since he recovered from his bad injury? The big win over Northampton last season, that’s about a year ago.
No idea if this is our Ryan Colclough but isn’t this the same offence Adam Hammill got done for a few years ago?
October 5, 2020 at 8:45 am #195452that’s of course is if it is the same Ryan Colclough.
October 5, 2020 at 9:13 am #195455Obviously was our best player before the injury (wasn’t that hard) but it’s obviously took its toll on his body. Hurst never fancied him for whatever reason.
October 5, 2020 at 10:09 am #195457Right age.
October 5, 2020 at 12:06 pm #195462Surely if this is our player that is in the news, but people must be 100% certain of this before one word reches our forum, if completely true, surely the club must take action and bin him and then move on, because he makes it obviouse that he does not want to be at Scunthorpe.
On the other hand, it could be someone else with the same name, if this is the case, I would think that the forum would be in big trouble.
October 5, 2020 at 12:11 pm #195463Why is the forum at fault ?
People make the comments, they are warned on a regular basis to consider actions and wording.
October 5, 2020 at 12:28 pm #195464Didn’t want to create any speculation. Just it could possibly be him which can explain his absence. Hopefully it can all be cleared up soon.

Good job we didn’t have that attitude when Matt Sparrow had his little misdemeanour!
October 5, 2020 at 1:31 pm #195466Time BS changed his username, by all means keep the same initials, just change the name to the stuff coming out of a bull after his lunch. 🐂💩
October 5, 2020 at 2:07 pm #195467Scunthorpe United have told me this is being fully investigated by the club. A spokesperson for the #Iron says they’ll be making no further comment at this stage. #uti https://t.co/HiGAcsWll3

October 5, 2020 at 3:32 pm #195470A Scunthorpe United source has told me the club only became aware of the incident late last night. https://t.co/ocSBnjVg6a

What is there for the Club to investigate ?
South Yorkshire Police have done the investigating and charged someone with same name.
Innocent until proven guilty so why suspend him ?
Possibly because he’s kept his employers in the dark about it If it’s him and they don’t like to find out about it through Social Media
Surely the only investigation required by the Club is ‘ Ryan is this you ? ‘. Yes or No and the Investigation is over.October 5, 2020 at 6:34 pm #195476He clearly needs help. Assaulting a policeman outside Taco Bell late Wednesday night (whilst drunk) points towards bigger issues. He can’t be in a good place at the minute
October 5, 2020 at 7:10 pm #195477Ironawe, he has previous of this carry on way back at Crewe. It may just point to the fact he’s a complete moron and has taken his football career for granted. Colclough should have grown up before now…he’ll be yet another wasted talent that chosen to squander it all.
I said he needed moving on even before this was announced…he’s questionable at best.
October 5, 2020 at 7:22 pm #195478If he’s got previous of assaulting a police officer then fair enough he’s had a second chance.
It’s a shame, I was at the Wigan Doncaster match when he scored and came off – the Wigan fans had nothing but good things to say about him and clearly just starting on family life. Sometimes there are deeper rooted problems that people need help with but sometimes they’re just wrong uns. Hoped Ryan was in the former.
October 5, 2020 at 7:39 pm #195480Well I guess that’s another big wage earner off the books, he won’t come back from this playing for us, not assaulting a policeman. Sad end but he’s obviously got issues that need addressing with him having previous.
October 5, 2020 at 7:40 pm #195481In L2 he’s a 10/10 for ability but effort only about 25%. Much rather have a 5/10 giving 100%.
See lesgeo’s post (somewhere) about wasted talent, such a shame.October 5, 2020 at 7:41 pm #195482Doesn’t seem like much speculating going on here Sanfran…seems pretty factual that he assaulted an emergency worker and got arrested for it.
October 5, 2020 at 7:45 pm #195484A Policeman by the sounds of it.
October 5, 2020 at 10:28 pm #195486The lack of empathy shown by some on here is staggering!

It is ALLEGED that he assaulted an assaulted worker. It is for the court to decide if that’s true or not.
October 6, 2020 at 12:13 am #195491“During an arrest attempt, an officer was assaulted and sustained injuries to his face and damage to his glasses.”
Statement published by South Yorkshire Police. Don’t think it’s really up for debate.
October 6, 2020 at 12:15 am #195492The lack of empathy shown by some on here is staggering!
He’s fortunate to have the talent he has with the opportunity to do what he loves… Getting drunk and supposedly assaulting a police officer is ridiculous.
At Crewe he did something equally as stupid…he’s not a kid anymore, he should know better.
If we we’re talking about a young player then fair enough I’d put it down to sheer stupidity with him needing to grow up but he’s at an age when he shouldn’t be doing stuff like this anymore..it’s just not acceptable.
Throw into the mix he went in a tempter tantrum and spat his dummy out when moved in the no 10 role and played as captain against Man City u23’s and couldn’t be bothered.
I’m sorry but I don’t feel sorry for him. This is his doing, nobody else’s.
I don’t like his attitude on the pitch and appears that he’s a loose cannon off it.
October 6, 2020 at 4:13 am #195493Guilt cannot be assumed, BLT.
October 6, 2020 at 9:19 am #195494Let’s be honest guys if you are charged with assaulting a policeman what are your chances of being cleared? As Mrs Doubtfire once famously said, ” wake up and smell the coffee dear “.
