Is it 4-4-2
Commentary is awfulNo idea. Think it’s the lads first attempt at this… useless!
Beck… living up to his leg end – or is that shin?

January 11, 2025 at 5:04 pm #296858You’ve got to feel for the lads & lasses who put their time & money in to travel down to the game.
A stale pie and a styrofoam cup of tepid over milky tea was their only reward.1 user thanked author for this post.

January 11, 2025 at 5:10 pm #296864I take full responsibilty. I got carried away by the KL result and went for a win today in the PL (I seldom, if ever, do that ‘cos this is what happens)
January 11, 2025 at 5:13 pm #296866Only one noodle to blame I’m afraid and he picks the team along with the other chuckle brother!

January 11, 2025 at 5:13 pm #296867Good job he stayed home for the previous 7 games?
January 11, 2025 at 5:16 pm #296869Counting the minutes till the return of 414 thriving on defeat, cheerleading the ‘Butler Out’ boys. As far as I could tell from the commentary two defensive errors had cost us big time in a game we didn’t look like losing up till then. As Torps said, the players need to take some responsibility and maintain a decent standard. Maybe best to put this one to bed and move on. Credit to Rushall, 3 wins on the bounce now, including Kiddie away, with renewed energy and vigour. They’re clearly not as bad as the table suggests.

January 11, 2025 at 5:23 pm #296873Always get knee jerk reactions after defeat to a team you should really beat but the previous clean sheets and good goal difference aren’t a fluke, we had a bad day, shit happens, move on.
January 11, 2025 at 5:26 pm #296876Last time I looked we were a football team not a catering establishment, we’ve outsourced it all so why do we need a catering manager.
Of course you’ll be one of very few who’d rather she not spend any available money on the squad.
You sound like Butler there Deerey.lol

A couple of weeks ago you suggested you were quite bright,I’m not so sure your confidence in your IQ is warranted

Couldn’t fault the team selection with the possible exception of Brogans omission. Has he been a bad lad?

January 11, 2025 at 6:03 pm #296897Proper Scunny old boys day today, Sam Mantom scores the winner against us at Rushall whilst Matty Lund and Hakeeb are currently featuring for Salford against City in the cup. Matty Lund still likes a tackle, good to see.

FAF!
January 11, 2025 at 7:39 pm #296914Had a great chance to really put a mark down following the Kings Lynn game and instead serve up one of the worst league results in our history.
Love the club but it’s hard work at times

January 13, 2025 at 7:56 am #297048A loss to bottom of the league Rushall to kick off 2025 with a
bangwhimper. Seems the KL performance was a red herring, a la Kiddy at the seasons start, but alas normality is resumed.Had a great chance to really put a mark down following the Kings Lynn game and instead serve up one of the worst league results in our history.

Spot on, always one step forward followed by two back. Suppose we should be grateful for one decent half of football every half season?

January 13, 2025 at 12:20 pm #297069You won’t be happy till Butler’s gone and Butterfield returns. So never, I guess. You must be a ray of sunshine at Christmas time. Hope no one failed to live up to your lofty expectations.
January 13, 2025 at 12:58 pm #297072It was the wrong time to play Rushall for several reasons.
Shrug those shoulders and move on!

Wait until we’re playing in the same league as Gainsborough or Winterton having chopped and changed 17 times.
Nah, still not good enough for some.
January 13, 2025 at 1:18 pm #297074Too much impatience and unfeasibly high expectations for some, borne out of watching plastic Premier League, paying, demanding and getting in today’s modern society. Like Elon Musk’s love children. A world of extremes. Take supporting the Iron. You’re expected to be Butler In or Butler Out, no nuance, no middle ground. I’m all for constructive criticism but give credit where it’s due. Some round here and other platforms are only interested in criticising. Often unfairly to suit a narrative. It’s tedious.

The top 11 teams in the ‘Home’ table are covered by just 4 points.
Anything and everything is on the cards for Saturday!
January 13, 2025 at 2:12 pm #297076A prime example of what I’m talking about. It’s quite likely going to be like this till season end. These cup final type build ups do little to help matters. Supporters become tense demanding free flowing stylish football, hammering everyone in our path. Wired kids and older people, who should know better, chanting ‘Andy Butler, your football is shite’. Pathetic and entitled.

Person behind that chant was a vocal Hilton apologist so not surprised.
Question for you all: Would Andy Butler have done better than 3 wins out of 18 in the National League?
