Penalty guide for Fitz.
They defend like the keystone cops.
The Congolesian, Nkalambi-Maisidi catches the eye.
Danny Waldron bags a brace and looks to be a decent target man.
Great first Moors goal.February 2, 2024 at 6:52 am #28024116 goals for the Pics this season nets Waldron a move to the Shrimpers:

My second revision:
Iron 2-0 Pics
As poorly as we are playing, we should have more than enough to despatch these by a minimum of 2 goals.
If we don’t take all three points, then there’s something wrong!
Player power? Do they not respect / like plating for Jimbob?
Let’s see how we go tomorrow!
February 2, 2024 at 9:02 am #280247Do they not respect / like playing for Jimbob / understand what he’s on about / understand the game plan?
February 2, 2024 at 9:08 am #280248Didn’t we beat them comfortably 3-0 at their place earlier this season?, mind you we beat Tamworth at their place and look how that worked out. If we don’t beat this lot on Saturday then something is going wrong and needs sorting.
February 2, 2024 at 9:17 am #280249Do they not respect / like playing for Jimbob / understand what he’s on about / understand the game plan?
Possibly the reason for recent performances. Most of the squad have experience above the level of JD, if half of them follow JD’s game plan (if there is one) and the others think they know better and do their own thing there’s little wonder we look disjointed.
February 2, 2024 at 1:53 pm #280259There is a game plan there, cassidy, only problem is there is only one and when that doesn’t work we’re fooked.
Dean is wanting the team to play a really nice, league style of football with measured build up which worked when we had the craft of Smith, Roberts out wide and when Butterfield was having the impact he was having but he’s trying to play the same brand of football but the players just aren’t available anymore to play that way.
Playing that way is fine if you have the creativity and that bit of magic within the side but we haven’t got that now. I’d stiffen the midfield up and go more direct but to do that we’d either need two upfront or a player in the no 10 role behind Whitehall.

Comfortable win but not really a comfortable performance.
Be interesting to see how the team and management respond, Tuesday was a big psychological hit.

Being just five points above the relegation zone, are they offloading in anticipation of relegation?

February 2, 2024 at 3:37 pm #280268Lots of recent ins & outs.
Ronan Maher joined 7 days ago from Walsall.
They seem to be taking young (18-21) uns on loan from the bigger guns much higher up the pyramid.https://www.saddlers.co.uk/news/2024/january/ronan-maher-returns-to-rushall-olympic-on-loan/
February 2, 2024 at 3:56 pm #280269After watching Jimbob’s pregame thoughts, I think we are in trouble tomorrow.
He lacks confidence, is nervous, edgy, unsure of himself. He doesn’t inspire and is monotonal. He lacks belief.
When we feel stress, the small capillaries on the skin surface tend to fill and cause redness and itchiness on the nose. Thus, we tend to rub the itch. Touching the nose is a pacifying behaviour to relieve stress.
Any sort of neck rubbing, hair playing, face touching, or hand fidgeting is a sign of subconscious nervousness.
Folded arms…
Expressionless face…
Monotonal voice…We’re going to struggle!

Heads are sheds! With their new arrivals, our poor performances and neutered formation, I’m going back to my earlier predictions.
Tomorrow has now become a big game, a key game following Tuesday defeat.

February 3, 2024 at 1:44 am #280295Similar to you Rene after watching JDs rather sombre uninspiring pre match chat with James Moody .. something has /is going wrong and needs sorting out , the players seem to have lost interest are they questioning the managements tactic s ? not easy to predict but ..
Head n heart will take a tight nervy Iron 2-1 win
However my gut feeling is a 1-1 draw

February 3, 2024 at 7:40 am #280298Liam McDonald (39 later this month) is the man in the opposition technical area.
If Old McDonald gets the better of Jimbob today, will they be carting the Iron manager off to the funny farm?
McDonald’s clubs as a player:
Redditch
Tamworth
Kettering
Barwell
Halesowen
Sutton C.
Hednesford
Worcester CityIf he steers the former mining village team to a win at the AAA (Attis Attack Arena) they’ll give him a golden pick.
February 3, 2024 at 8:11 am #280299JD’s pre-match and post match do not inspire. He seems irritated that he has to do them.
February 3, 2024 at 9:06 am #280302What absolute tosh, the poor guy is obviously uncomfortable in front of the camera as can be seen by the nervous itches he has. This is nothing different from any interviews earlier in the season. Support the guy/team when they need it instead of spreading more nervousness

February 3, 2024 at 9:35 am #280305As above, JD’s discomfort giving interviews has been mentioned before and his nervous fidgeting is nothing new, the guy is under pressure after Tuesday night but let’s not make out it’s anymore than that, the interview was very similar in style to most he has given this season. We need a win that is obvious and we should just get behind the team as usual on matchday and hope JD and the players have got the Tamworth game out of their system . UTI.

February 3, 2024 at 9:42 am #280306He’s obviously just uncomfortable in front of the camera. I’m the same, hate being on camera, having to present things to people and get all twitchy/nervous. I wouldn’t read too much into it really.
3-0 comfortable Iron victory today
