Thought I caught a whiff!
Paul Hurst: Grimsby Town sack manager after fourth League Two loss in a row
October 28, 2023 at 6:50 pm #276012Ha, really unlikeable person
October 28, 2023 at 9:28 pm #276023I think the title to this thread is probably a bit unfair guys, especially when the chairman and supporters of GY contributed towards the fundraising effort a few weeks ago.

October 28, 2023 at 11:51 pm #276028When we go on a bad run feel free to start a thread titled “Rusting Iron”!
October 29, 2023 at 1:10 am #276031Not a surprise after reading the fishy forum over the last week .. i was hoping Hurst would stay a bit longer to cause further the relegation hole to get deeper.
Anyway far to many issues at SUFC …so as for the Cods situation.

Nothing wrong with good old banter and you guys have been on the wrong end of it for some time now and probably more hardened to it than some of us. The thought of us sinking into a relegation battle with the possibility of dropping out of the league again is too much to contemplate. Hurst has been very successful for us over the last couple of years but was taking us further down the league with no signs of halting the slide even though he recruited well during the close season something was wrong somewhere.
October 29, 2023 at 11:30 am #276049No point in putting off an impending decision if it needed to be made. Good timing – pre-Christmas. Unlike some of our delayed terminations in the recent past.
October 29, 2023 at 1:47 pm #276061Still think we would have stayed up in League 1 if Swanny didn’t pull the trigger on McCall when he did. 7 games and only 2 points later under Dawson and down we went with a whimper. Probably one of the biggest contributors to us being where we are today.

October 29, 2023 at 6:47 pm #276071Hindsight is a wonderful thing and maybe should have stuck with McCall. Certainly left it too late though if he was going to do it at all IMO
October 29, 2023 at 7:54 pm #276073That’ll be the end of any positive contribution from Eisa then. He’ll be off when Hurst gets another job.
