Gone with a strongish side. Might only be 3 or 4.

Just checked and Rovrum have gone with a strongish side as well. Could be 5 or 6.

Will Grigg’s on fire, or freed from desire?

Maybe you do need to get out more MK but not to GP where disappointment surely awaits you.

Use this as a tester and play more attacking with a 4/4/2 with proper players out wide and actually play with width.

Wilson on the left and Bunn on the right. Beestin and Pugh. Flat back 4 with Loft and Scrimshaw upfront.

I’d ditch Taft as well and go with Davis and Manny as he’s been shite since he’s been signed permanently.

For once play with positivity and some actual attacking intent. If we get dicked by 3 or 4, least we’ll show something going forward for once.

The aggregate score from the punters on the prediction league is 44 v 5. So I suppose 2 v 0 at half-time is a cracking result.

Watching on iFollow and yes we’re losing but apart from the Tranmere game it’s probably been our best performance this season. We’re actually making more than 2 passes in succession and have created a lot of decent chances.

BLT u must be the only one watching. 4-1 doesn’t appear that we played well. Also disappointed loft chose to score today as id rather he would save his 1 in 6 ratio for a league game

Yeah. Good performance from the team – it may sound daft – but 4 – 1 was very unfair on us.
Ref was below standard and demonstrated double standards.
Hippo best display of the season.
    Loft held the forwards together.
Movement and forward passing movements were the best of the season by far.
Hallam showed some real intelligence up front and crossover movement of Hippo and Green confused defenders. When did we last do anything like that?
Match fitness approaching for Loft, Thompson and Hallam.

A small shoot of optimism sticking its head up from below ground?

Played well for the middle hour.

I hope Cox has finally learned we are only likely to create chances playing 4-4-2. We need to play a holding midfield player in front of the centre backs and Pugh is the only one of our 6 or 7 central midfielders that might be able to do that.

One of Green and Hippolyte’s better games. Therein lies our problem because in their best of games they are still poor. Neither are league standard. Both did work hard and could probably do
OK in the National League. They will no doubt get the chance next season. Staggering to hear Devarn has managed 50 games for the Iron.

Loft was the best player on the pitch for me. Bunn and Wilson as wide midfielders, Pugh and Beeston in the centre and Loft and Jarvis or Scrimshaw up front and we might just win a game or two.

We conceded 2 late goals again, which says to me that the players are mentally and physically unfit.

Too many moments where we switched off tonight and were punished – there’s no lack of effort there, just silly passes and the inability to close down on the edge of the box.

Millen looks like he is wondering what he’s got himself into – lots of shouting and organising from RB, very lightweight on the wings with pace but no real end product from Myles and Green.

Not sure Hallam really suits where he was playing tonight but good to see him getting minutes, Manny at fault for the first goal but looked solid thereafter.

Overall there were some positives, but Rotherham took their chances and we just played OK in 20-minute spells.

Shame some of our fans decided to make a disappointing night even worse – a bloke in his 50’s getting kicked out for trying to get to the home fans in a Pizza trophy game is embarrassing.

What a surprise, 4/4/2 and we actually showed something going forward. Hallam played well, Loft looked good… Green and Hippolyte even looked fairly decent.

I thought Wood was fairly good as well, good cross for the goal.

Sloppy start though, lax at the back again. Davis looks a slow and ponderous.

Least we played with width and a bit of invention which is at least a step forward.

If this isn’t a wake up call for Cox to stick with 4/4/2 then he needs to leave on his accord.

    Much more positive display tonight.

As mentioned above Loft was a real handful and if we can keep him fit it will improve our chances in each game.

Oh and let’s not kid ourselves Grigg, Ladapo and Smith are quality strikers at league 1 level.

Saturdays lineup should be very similar to tonight!

If Cox wants to play 3 CBs – and we need a holding midfield player – let’s try Davis in that role.

Let’s not, he looks slow and ponderous even at CB. I wouldn’t want him playing in DCM where he’s going to need a cover a lot of ground.

I hope you was extracting the urine when you said that. 4/4/2 and no more 5 at the back crap, it doesn’t work.

It just shows the depth our club has sunk to when fans are praising the team for its improvement after getting beat by Rotherham 1-4, and just one win to show from its last 23 matches, probably Cox should have his contract reviewed and extended by a couple of more years.

So we need another 12 or 13 wins out of our remaining thirty odd matches in order not to sink into non-league football, where the hell are they going to come from????????????????????????.

Get real lads we lost 4-1, I assume fans would have been doing hand springs along Brownsword Way if we had managed a draw, so can we possibly expect 1,500 more supporters at our next home game after last nights great result????

Certainly don’t read what I said as a ringing endorsement of that team or the management.
It was a better performance than many over the last 3 seasons but still contained 3 players that dont look League standard – Green, Hippolyte and Millen.

Millen might come good but the other 2 have had numerous chances and never looked good enough.

Stop picking them and play people who look like they might cope. Bunn, Wilson and Rowe.

We conceded 2 late goals again, which says to me that the players are mentally and physically unfit.

Well that must apply to several different groups of players over the last five seasons then?

What’s going on with our captain after the 4th goal? Trying to start on the inexperienced left-back?

Very poor attitude Ironawe he made the effort to go and no one knows what was said to him. Do you honestly believe that we have hooligans turning up for an away game in the tinpot.

Still this total anti-Hippo stuff. He’s certainly no world-beater – we all know that but – give the lad some credit when it’s due.
Never having seen him before, there’s more than a few who’d have praised him for last night.
He’s an honest player who, if he can be a bit better with the final pass, can be an asset.
He has surely outplayed Green this season but I certainly do wonder how he gets away with all of the foul throws when hurling it a distance.

Loft. Same issues with those who gave him no credit last season. I saw a pretty decent-looking CF last night.

I suspect, however, that this may have all happened as the higher division side perhaps offered a bit more space than we tend to get in the 4th Division. We shall see at Harrogate.

Hippolyte I thought was fairly good the other night and Green wasn’t bad either but with those two it’s been consistency.

Green has all the pace in the world but doesn’t believe in himself to really use it and Hippolyte for the most part has been listless.

No doubt in my mind that when Hackney goes back we need a LW and if we can manage it, a proper DCM . Kenyon’s been injured for the most part and even when he was playing in those games he played in he looked like he was wading in treacle.

Swann needs to pay Turan off. I can’t see him being on much and his contract will be running out end of the season, he needs binning ASAP.

It was Swannster who signed him after all.

Was he found guilty of impersonating a footballer?

Nobody expected the Iron to get anything from that match. The reality being that we are currently favourites for relegation from league two, and Rotherham are a decent league one side who could well get into the playoffs.

So Neil had nothing to lose, and that have him licence to try something else. I only hope that he was inspired by the way his team can perform, given the correct tactics.

We must continue playing 4-4-2, and force our opponents into making errors.

The season is young, we should not give up the ghost now!
