Yes if you are pretty poor in 6 positions (including the bench and the treatment table) rather brilliant in one, then it’s a shoo-in!

Starting to look improbable but can’t see that he’s signed for NT either.

According to Humberside we’re due to complete the signing tomorrow. Northampton were in for him and we supposedly offered a longer deal so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if we break the current mould and he doesn’t sign a 2yr deal.

So that’s a supposed commanding CB, A RB and Kenyon for CM through the door.

Still a GK to go, cover at LB, striker “preferably two” and a few wingers….maybe Bunn and somebody else for out wide.

I’m no Carol Vorderman but I make that 6 more including Bunn if he’s fit and impresses…only then we’ll be just about strong enough to start the season.

So. Why all the delay if this guy is going to be signed?
Fans are being deliberately kept out of even the very widest of loops. Even a holding statement from the club would demonstrate just a little respect towards desperate fans. Zilch.

Don’t you just wonder if fans are being punished? – Punished because of ‘negativity’ on this very board?
If that scenario turns out to be the correct one – it hasn’t worked. Has it? It has just got people like me who have generally supported the Chairman spitting feathers.

If Millen is not signed up today – we may have to think that this deal is no longer feasible.

Boy. These days – all I ever seem to be wanting is to be proved wrong – on pretty much anything and everything!

I’m not expecting to be kept in the loop about every chase of players which have fell through or a back catalogue of players we’re currently looking at but something would be nice.

As you said les, a mere club statement would be nice. It does feel like we’re being punished. To not even see anything about any players we’re chasing is very odd.

Honestly not experienced anything like this before. It’s almost like Swann is saying “look this is my club and I’ll decide when it’s right to tell you anything and not before”

Are we seen as an annoyance that he can’t really be arsed with anymore ?

I must admit, it feels like it. I remember going to my first home game in 2000 and the way he’s been now is making me dislike the club.

I love this club but at the same time I’m being turned off. I admit that I don’t have the same feeling anymore about my hometown club.

Sad really because It’s all I’ve ever really known !

Could you imagine the uproar if the club came out and said we are talking to x, y & z and none of them signed.

Putting aside for a moment the childish embargo of news from the club at least Coxy seems to have managed to sign 3 players that might be capable of competing in this League.

A commendable effort when you only have buttons to work with. We need more of course but at least we are not going with the chaff that was all the rage this time last year.

Sadly most of the chaff is still creating congestion on the training pitch.
