Taken a pay cut do you think?
Let’s see what changes off the pitch when/if we eventually get going again.

He took one here when we got relegated – 50k so I was told.
His brief was new ground / redevelopment and championship football.

You can maybe see why he’s gone – more likely to be a doubling of his salary at what are still a big club though his track record isn’t fantastic. Many at Notts County blame him for their (continuing) woes.

He will be no great loss here, a possible backroom drift? Rumours will be abound and as Aiden McCartney has said ‘Good Luck to Sunderland”

Perhaps the panacea we need here. We have a new CEO. Let’s see her mettle but she’s on the backfoot from day one picking up some large pieces given the current state of the club and the virus.

Good, we was heading to oblivion with him. Time for cygnet to step up? and earn a wage and do day to day running, having his parents back him. He was quite happy using social media to interact with supporters until the moron statement. Getting back to them normal tweets etc would be a way of reconnecting with fans. I can only imagine Turnbull taking up that seat in the boardroom but not the day to day running.
Oops, saw a headline and reacted. I didn’t realise he had already been replaced

Be interesting to see him justify that salary on Netflix next year.

    Poor old Sunderland.

    Interesting –

Job hunting in the current situation. Working whilst other staff are furloughed.

Best piece of transfer news for a long time, did we………….

    a) receive a fee.

    b) pay a fee.

    c) award a free transfer.

I hope he did not do the paperwork or he may not have gone!

seen him twice, never ever spoken to him, to me he could have been the Invisible Man, so not bothered either way, so good luck to our new CEO Leanne Mayo, who I have never met either.

Yes best of luck to Leanne, bet she’s not on the same money as the departed one but the important thing is, if we have a club left in the next six months, that Leanne asserts her authority and doesn’t get bullied by you know who.

As one said “Shit! We’ve only just got rid of one lazy wage thief called Rodwell”

In the interest of balance is anybody going to come on here and express regret at his leaving? (Not you Peter!) (Or anybody from Sunderland!)
    Surely UTI99 has a view?

Don’t think UTI will be responding, they probably don’t have internet in Sunderland.

Id like to think you were joking about suggesting the cygnet steps up scunnypete! I dont want senior here never mind junior! These are reason we are in such a mess and on a continious decline. Im Happy that another clown of a chairman in stewart donald has taken rodders off our hands thats one down now lets see the rest go then we can start rebuilding our club.

Yes Matt, just like UTI99, I think he maybe has a dose of the virus, he has been missing for ages, not that there is anything worth any management back slapping to perform, you never know, he might have moved into Rodwells office, he certainly has earned it.

Rodwell in his farewell speech didn’t thank the club, fans or his fellow staff…..he just thanked Swann for offering him the opportunity.

5 year stint and only heard from him in the press 3 or 4 times….didn’t have shit all to do with the fans.

Strutted around in Armani pressed suits around in the background while seemingly going through the motions for the full 5 years. As to this day, nobody knew what what his role actually even was…which speaks volumes.

Notts County fan’s threw a party when he cleared off and came to us..fast forward 5 years, we all think he’s an absolute waste of space.

As somebody above said….”best pieces of news to come out of the club in years”. I’ll second that.

The most notable thing he did during his time here was fucking up Proctors paperwork when he failed to register him in time.

    Complete and utter turd.

    Now where’s S.N.O.T?

Up in Sunderland dangling from Rodwells ring? Snot has been known to dangle occasionally, particularly on a cold morning.
