At least it won’t be as hot.July 20, 2022 at 1:54 am #240959I didnt expect much from the Rochdale game and wasn’t disappointed. Just looked like a group of lads thrown together. In comparison with Rochdale we were slow and devoid of ideas. Yes we scored a good goal but it was too little to late. We seem to want to pass the ball in our own half for ages until someone loses the ball. Taft is well past his sell by date. Rochdale were more physical, faster and played with more purpose. Our defence is poor and once again we were cut open time and time again. Typical of Sinclair to rub salt into the wounds showing what a good finisher he is when he gets service. Trouble is last season we never gave him any service. He has clearly gained confidence in his play more then can be said for the Scunthorpe Team. Mr Hill worries me.

July 21, 2022 at 11:00 am #241039After all the hype regading the Sheff Utd match, the remaining supporters were soon brought back down to earth in a game against Rochdale.
I am afraid things appear to be a continuation of the past four seasons, when fans can leave the matches and think to themselves, what the hell am I doing here after watching many more defeats by their team.
July 21, 2022 at 11:38 am #241042‘what the hell am I doing here’. Been listening to Radiohead BS?

Jesus christ barton, a little positivity never killed anybody. Look, the club is in a difficult spot and it needs turning around. That potential transformation will not happen over night, we played well against Sheff Utd but due to not having any strength in depth we mixed and matched against Rochdale and we were found out.
The squad is thin but I’m sure we’ll add further players. This will take time but let’s not all be too downbeat. I like what Hills done so far in terms of more experienced players with Butterfield, Whitehouse and Boyce looking like key additions.
Patience is needed by all in these times.

July 21, 2022 at 6:16 pm #241058Should we be reading anything into the club leaving the numbers 2, 5 & 11 vacant in their squad list?
Not aware of any players on trial other than the young American winger. Does this mean the rest of our recruitment will be from the loan market?
July 21, 2022 at 6:39 pm #241060No idea. We need a CB,RB, Wide player and 2 strikers to compete though. I’d prefer perm signings but if they’re good loan players then so be it, we need numbers in though.
July 21, 2022 at 11:16 pm #241079Posh at home to Hull 4pm on sat yet we’re playing them at 3pm. Either they’ve a huge squad or one of us is playing the U23s? Was hoping for a decent challenge to see how we responded to Rochdale result.
July 22, 2022 at 12:15 pm #241102Yes, it’s their Reserves. Hmmm.
July 22, 2022 at 12:24 pm #241107….and Hull Reserves are playing at Cambridge.

You’d expect a NL team to notch a 1-0 or 2-0 win against NLN teams.
No coincidence that both of these fixtures are away games!1 user thanked author for this post.
July 23, 2022 at 9:15 pm #241159That was a shocker from Gallimore, protecting the ball shouting for the keeper to come and pick it up, and then when he went for it he decides to kick it past him.
July 23, 2022 at 9:16 pm #241160I would have thought it was more u23s than juniors,
July 24, 2022 at 7:07 am #241170I looked up 5 or 6 of their starting 11 at half time. One of them was 20 and the others were 18 or 19.
I think Peterborough run an U-21 team so was probably mostly them.
July 24, 2022 at 10:08 am #241177Does Mr Hill not attend games anymore? Always McMahon giving the after match comments.

I hear for an encore he does a bit of juggling with pint glasses whilst balancing a 50 pence piece on his nose.
July 24, 2022 at 11:43 am #241187Still no sign of Hallam or Ntlhe.
Is Daniel injured already?
Has Bunney hopped it?
Still awaiting clearance for KK?
Questions that could and should be answered on OWS or SUFC twitter, the sort of information the fans would like to know. However the GP restaurant is open for lunch today.2 users thanked author for this post.
July 24, 2022 at 11:48 am #241188The first 3 were in attendance yesterday but obviously not on the bench. We can therefore assume Daniel has joined the other 2 in the sick bay.

No coincidence that both of these fixtures are away games! You’d expect that yes but Macclesfield smashed York City 4-0 yesterday and they are 3 leagues below them.
July 24, 2022 at 3:47 pm #241199Peterborough’s no24 looked good especially first half, think would be worth an enquiry from us.
