Only real surprise is Pugh who did well enough for me in a poor side.

Plenty of dead weight still hanging around. Taft, Perry, O’Neill and Hallam all unlikely to get much game time. Can they be encouraged out by payment of 50% of their contracts?

On a positive note most players and managers that leave the Iron do better elsewhere.

Not rate him? I think he’s been by some distance our best attacking threat this season.

And here lies the first issue in my opinion.13 players under contract. Foster, Lewis, Young, Moore-Billam not ready for anything other than the odd few games. Beeston ok, the rest not good enough due to attitude or capability. Wouldn’t bother with Bunn. Rowe ok.

So we have potentially 2 players ready for the National League battle.

Recruitment of 15+ players needed to be anything like competitive.

With zero faith in Uncles Will and Keith I would say we are doomed !

Time for Lee Turnbull to do a bit of multi tasking and pull 6 or 8 decent players out of the hat.

No doubt Will “I can spot a player” Swann will have half a dozen lame ducks lined up.
Hill wants to be in total control of recruitment so should ignore them unless told otherwise.
Lee might have one or two ideas that Hill finds acceptable but if potential new owners want their own man in charge can Hill be allowed any signings.

Poor choices but we have history for it. Better players are being released than was signed last season and there will be less money to waste with the Chief Scout recruitment plan.

League below ? Is it Conference – NORTH. ?

What’s the difference between contract offers made to… and Discussions ongoing?

Is that not the same thing?

I would read it as Bunns rejected what’s on offer and the clubs considering whether to improve it, in which case Bunn is likely to leave.

I’m surprised also by Pugh, Hills type of player, runs around a lot but doesn’t contribute much, not good enough IMO.
Taft & Perry could be a big problem if Hill refuses to play them, a drain on limited resources as with KDT. O’Neil won’t be on much and might stay out on loan and if Hallam can be kept fit he could be our McAtee in NL.

Always a sad part of this day is young players that have been with the club half their lives having to move on.

Keep the faith lads and go again. 2 or 3 will turn up at Glanford Park in a few years scoring goals or making saves. Hopefully in the football league.

Can only think Pugh’s injury is worst then first thought and with a shite budget for next season he’s not considered worth the risk, much the same as Thompson who is the one I really feel sorry for

Keith will no doubt have some young talent & some jouneymen lined up. Most probably similar quality to the ones he has brought in & has been unable to control. But there again he might have half a dozen decent players lined up. What can go wrong with Nutty leading the front line. Bring on the new lads. The clock is ticking. Only 81 days to the start of the new campaign which starts 30th July.

We’ve yet to be accepted into the national league, that won’t happen till they have their AGM, last year that took place on the 1st of July the same day they announced the fixture list.
