It would be quite something if, at some point in the future, the club actually did buy it and relocate!

Said when Hilton was made preferred bidder the EGO did not want Simon & Ian anywhere near.
He did not want local people to succeed, although it would have been tough battle.

The question not answered is if Hilton had no funds what did he show to he did ?
Then why was the Bury attempted buyout an abject failure – someone was warning us about him.

Ask Simon Elliott. He said he saw proof of funds.

Did he really? Or did he just take Hilton’s word for it, because he perceived him to be powerful and wealthy?

I think there’s a whole horrendous story behind this as to what went on in the boardroom. I saw a picture of Turnbull on Saturday and he looks like he’s aged 10 years in 6 months.

It was stressful enough being a supporter during Hilton’s reign – particularly for those who had ‘spotted it’ months and months ago but were given a hard time by the pro-Hilton cult. But being staff at SUFC? I don’t think we will ever know the full extent of the behind-the-scenes story nor the toll it has taken on people.

Anybody would think Turnbull wasn’t being paid, and to take the job on at the time posters on here would agree no one should have gone near it with a barge pole, oh of course there was the excuse of he’d be getting mega bucks and we all know that mega bucks must be taken and it excuses everything else.

Somebody needed to do the job. Are you saying no one should have?

With a special emphasis on delivering the new stadium.

    That was money well spent.

Is everything squared up now? Wages, NI contributions, pension contributions, redundancies, CCJs, creditors, HMRC?

He’s a better chance of getting an answer if he asks the right people.
