Twitter has him as our latest signing. Nothing on OWS.
Versatile defender.

“Scunthorpe United have agreed a deal to sign Reagan Ogle from Hartlepool United, Football League World can exclusively reveal.”
July 27, 2022 at 3:12 pm #24138023 year old Australian. Can play centre back and midfield and has a long throw. Deal done according to FLW.
July 27, 2022 at 3:13 pm #241381Beat me to it Cass as you so often do.

July 27, 2022 at 4:43 pm #241386Anagram of Angel Ogre!
Which one will he prove to be?
July 27, 2022 at 4:55 pm #241387Looks like a typical Iron signing:-
“Ogle missed Pools’ final friendly against Sunderland with what Hartley said was a thigh injury, as the defender could be seen taking part in a series of fitness tests ahead of the fixture.”
No idea Paul Hartley was ‘pool’s manager, must have missed that>

The font of all reliable knowledge that is Wiki has him as predominantly a right back who can also play left back, centre back and centre midfield.
Actually sounds like the best sort of signing we could hope for in our current plight…we’re definitely short of options at right back and centre back so having someone who can cover those positions with experience in the FL ain’t all that bad!

July 27, 2022 at 7:20 pm #241397Has a monster throw as well from what I’ve read. About time we took advantage of a long chuck into the box. Versatile player.
Also has a fine head of hair !
July 28, 2022 at 12:18 am #241403Any sniff of a striker or preferably 2 Keef ??????

July 28, 2022 at 8:20 am #241405I see Chris Porter has signed for Oldham, at the ripe old age of 38. That’s the type of player we need up front, but I’m sure it’s not for the lack of trying on Keith’s part that it hasn’t happened yet.

I remember a striker we signed that couldn’t establish himself at Southend, he did ok with us i seem to remember?

Not sure an immobile goal-shy forward is entirely what we need!

July 28, 2022 at 9:21 am #241408Not exactly goal shy, but I might agree on the other point!

1 goal in 97 games, which was scored at Ramsbottom United on loan.
Ramsbottom play at the same level as Cleethorpes Town, Grimsby Borough, Lincoln United, Pontefract Collieries.
Will he score again before he retires?
Hopefully he’s a tenacious defender like Cliff!July 29, 2022 at 2:49 pm #241475As long as he can defend and can get forward to deliver a cross or two into the box from fullback now and again I don’t give a toss if he doesn’t score. We need more attackers brought in and more from from midfield in respect of scoring, defenders, particularly centre backs can chip in with headers from set plays but I want defenders to be able to defend first and foremost, scoring the odd goal is just a bonus IMO.
July 29, 2022 at 3:05 pm #241479Has Rowe blotted his copybook over the summer? He was a Hill favourite last season.
July 29, 2022 at 3:14 pm #241480Does KH see him as an RB? Most fans seem to.
I suspect that the two will have to fight it out for the RB spot but Rowe will be someone who covers a number of roles.
(Expect Jai to start working on his long throw!)July 29, 2022 at 4:10 pm #241483As long as DCM isn’t one of them.
July 29, 2022 at 4:26 pm #241484I think you’re allowed two RBs in your squad!
July 29, 2022 at 4:55 pm #241485Of course, but he’s tried Cribb & Gallimore there so it looks as if that’s a non starter. Still not sure how the young MFs are going to get much game time in their true positions.

Cribb & Gally aren’t RBs.

Can they play up front!

Do you want them to? Are they good enough?

At the moment, everything is speculation.
As things stand, survival will suffice.

That’s for Keith to decide but they won’t progress if they’re not playing. Loans for some could be the way to go.
July 29, 2022 at 8:54 pm #241503Believe it or not I have just looked on their forum and their fans rated him and reckon he will do well in the National League
