Well you can cross that stat off your list now.
March 15, 2022 at 10:58 pm #233632A bit too late though, at least the ref was fairer second half after the first half when we only had one free kick.

Fairer? You don’t win many free kicks if you don’t havs the ball.

March 16, 2022 at 9:03 am #233654Why did the ref allow the Barrow player who was involved in the Grant sending off to remain on the field after recieving treatment from their physio?. I thought if a player received treatment they had to go off automatically before being allowed back on. First half one of the Barrow players dived in the box to try and win a penalty, it wasn’t given so why no yellow card for simulation?. Come on match officials teams don’t need your help to beat us. If this is the calibre of officials in the EFL what can we expect next season in the NL?.
March 16, 2022 at 9:18 am #233656Watching it again on you tube ( I’m an East Stander so it’s was difficult from my angle of sight last night to see clearly ) it’s a very giveable decision. Gotta take it on the chin I’m afraid.
March 16, 2022 at 9:56 am #233658Never a red the game was carrying on until the player started rolling around in so called agony and their players having a go at the ref seen it on video Grant takes the ball cleanly player makes a meal of it

March 16, 2022 at 10:47 am #233659just seen it and if that was a red card there is something wrong with the game, it was a strong challenge but didn’t look out of control.

they can stay on if a red card is given, not sure if it is the same with a yellow.

March 16, 2022 at 11:23 am #233662Was it studs up though?, not defending the ref just asking, down on the match live text as ” violent conduct “.
March 16, 2022 at 12:54 pm #233667Nothing violent about it jusg normal challenge until the player started rolling around ad he had life threatening injuries
March 16, 2022 at 1:25 pm #233668Don’t forget the squealing like a big girl. The sound effects made it sound like Grant had snapped him in half.
March 16, 2022 at 2:17 pm #233677I thought it looked really harsh in real time.
Having seen a photo still of the impact though – it looks significantly worse, almost to the extent it looked like a different challenge!
He went in over the top of the ball studs raised and made full on contact with the players shin.
On that evidence it was dangerous play and a straight red – so the ref got it right.

Once heard a big girl squealing in a field, when I looked it was a sow with half a dozen piglets hanging off her tits.

If you’re badly injured you don’t roll around, you remain motionless.
I’m surprised more refs haven’t twigged this.

Having seen the same still image my opinion changed from calling it a joke to now saying absolutely correct decision. I think Grants leg has bounced off the ball as he’s stretched out. Still think the referee was poor and that’s one of the few decisions he got correct.

Quite right – plus he went in with his full weight, it could have ended up much worse for the Barrow player.
Grant has really let the side down there – he’s the senior pro, probably the most experienced player in the team, he knows he cannot tackle like that and he knows how important he is to the team. Hill should be furious with him.
March 18, 2022 at 4:33 pm #233827I thought the boot slipped or skidded across the top of the ball. It wasn’t what I would see as an over-the-ball challenge, as such.
Yellow was sufficient.
Who was it said ‘orange’ – Tom? -
