Tactical genius Southgate he suckered us all in there.

June 30, 2024 at 7:07 pm #287473Great assist from that useless c*** Toney.
June 30, 2024 at 7:44 pm #287474Great leap by Toney with those fresh legs to set Kane up with a sitter, even Harry couldn’t miss that one unlike his earlier cock up. Poor again but we’ll take the win and hope for another miracle next game.

June 30, 2024 at 7:44 pm #287475England where woeful, very lucky to come back. Southgate so defensive. It’s what you get when you have an ex-defender as manager. Oh wait…
June 30, 2024 at 9:08 pm #287476Do you have a crystal ball?
June 30, 2024 at 10:52 pm #287478Thing is, and I’m not for one minute defending a poor performance from England, but there’s no way Slovakia deserved to win that game.
June 30, 2024 at 10:57 pm #287479I’ve seen the future: two up top, kane and Ivan, lol
July 1, 2024 at 6:57 am #287480Slovakia was the dirtiest international side that I’ve seen in quite a while, Rivers.

July 1, 2024 at 8:31 am #287481The biggest surprise for me was that both teams finished with eleven players on the pitch!

July 1, 2024 at 9:18 am #287482Strange performance from the ref, he booked several players early to I guess stamp his authority and some were harsh yellows IMO, then ignored worse fouls later on for a card that would have seen players already booked sent off. Another reason why fans get frustrated with inconsistent referees.
July 1, 2024 at 9:18 am #287483Seems churlish to criticise the referee when so many players performed poorly but he was comfortably the worst I have seen at the tournament.
Gave a raft of early cards for things that were barely fouls and then ignored some fairly naughty stuff because he didn’t have the balls to show a red card or three.
July 1, 2024 at 9:21 am #287484As this is the Recruitment thread, are we making any bids for the England squad? Suppose sales of Bacon and Sausage Cobs will cover it…

July 1, 2024 at 9:21 am #287485This telepathic link we seem to share is scary MK.

July 1, 2024 at 11:15 am #287486Not the squad CMC, Southgate was supposed to be announced has our assistant manager today till Bellingham f ed it up, god knows who we’ll go for now.
July 1, 2024 at 3:15 pm #287493So Lead Sports Therapist appointed. Ciaran Pack.
July 1, 2024 at 3:51 pm #287494Is his nickname six?

July 1, 2024 at 5:16 pm #287496He’s here!!! That’s two non-playing jobs filled today. Players tomorrow? They’ve already missed the start of pre-season, we don’t want them missing much more.

July 1, 2024 at 6:28 pm #287497Clubs are often cagey about naming trialists – probably at the behest of the players themselves. There could be a fair number here already – unless anyone knows different?
July 1, 2024 at 6:36 pm #287498Keepers in as predicted.
July 1, 2024 at 6:41 pm #287499Anyone we know?
July 1, 2024 at 6:45 pm #287500The tall fella that was on loan from York last season.
Maison Campbell.
July 1, 2024 at 7:20 pm #287501Let’s hope he feels a la Maison here. (French joke!)

July 1, 2024 at 9:25 pm #287502Looked fairly good in the few games he played, it’s a sensible signing.
July 1, 2024 at 10:20 pm #287503Ah, bon.
July 2, 2024 at 3:37 am #287504Waking up to no real surprise announcements just the 2 as predicted n the worst kept secrets in both Schofield as AB asst and Maison Campbell the new keeper ..
Not seen an interview with Mr Sch but here a nice one with Maison … seems like a real down to earth lad and the signing makes very much sense , obviously was here on loan so knows most at the club already and good reports about him from York fans
VIDEO: Maison Campbell reacts to joining the club on a permanent deal
Interesting to note sensing an under slight under current of “dont mention JD and/or his tenture” .. only really Will Evans commented after signing a new contract re how pleased he was AB had taken over from Dean.
Be nice to see 2 or 3 new QUALITY faces coming now we are into July n all players around the country contracts are up
July 2, 2024 at 10:41 am #287507When firstly asked on his reaction to joining the club, Campbell stated: “I’m buzzing because it’s what I’ve wanted all summer, and I’m delighted to finally get it over the line.”
Just the attitude I want from new signings.
(No reason to believe it’s ungenuine before the doubters emerge!)1 user thanked author for this post.
July 2, 2024 at 12:16 pm #287509Nah, probably fake news, Mussy will ruin him, next Butler interview will be AI generated and I’m expecting ùs to finish bottom, if that!
July 2, 2024 at 3:24 pm #287515With the probable points deduction from Chester game lowlife antics … missing out on the top spot looks pretty nailed on.
July 2, 2024 at 4:23 pm #287519I’m reluctant to label them all as ‘lowlife’ as there are multiple reasons at the root of this sort of behaviour and not always the culprits fault, particularly the younger ones. Nevertheless it needs eradicating for the good of the club, and as I’ve said in another post, some other supporters need to stop defending it, deflecting, and making excuses for it.
July 2, 2024 at 5:41 pm #287521Points deduction Lol. Massive pitch invasion at Chesterfield v Oldham including a mass brawl £5000 fine lets not get carried away.
