Fine by me as well so long it’s not because Whitehall picked up an injury, imo should have had him off at halftime (or Roberts) game was won and could have rested them earlier.

How many do you guess they’ll bring?
    50? 100?

    Sounds like we’re struggling?
This is not what I was expecting.
    So, what’s gone wrong?
I can’t even drown my ‘sorrows’ watching Hércules tonight as that’s postponed due to the storms / torrential rain / floods in south east Spain.

I made a late decision not to travel.
    Looks like a good call.

I have tried to be positive and to put things into perspective, but that wasn’t good enough. Not by a long shot. Slow tempo, overly cautious, poor passing. Even if Radcliffe came to frustrate, it’s not an excuse.

Time for a late siesta before reflecting on today’s ‘performance’ perhaps?

Didn’t go or pay any heed to today’s game, what happened??
Did we miss an attacking edge?

Radcliffe did exactly what you would expect them to do given their position.

They fought for every ball and turned it into a scrap. Most of our players responded by standing still.

Radcliffe won about 85% of the many second balls. We didn’t look the fittest, strongest team at te Attis Arena never mind in the league.

You have to make your mind up when playing teams playing anti football. You either take on the fight or you pass and move around them. We did neither today.

Same examination paper next Saturday with Buxton. Except they are better at it.

“Butler”! You bloody Muppet where was Whitehall? your supposed to be the manager well bloody manage, like I said top of the page Whitehall and roberts could and should have been rested at halftime but no idiot head hasn’t a clue,
As for Carlton gets his chance fluffed it again totally anonymous, when will the Whitehall naysayers get it without him we’re nothing.
Having said that why not just move Carlton on the wing instead of taking him off he’s got pace so use it, no forwards on the pitch at the end what’s that all about. Radcliffe by far the better team sempt to be in our half more than we was in theirs played some nice football anyway more than what we were in theirs.
Just not good enough for an home performance.

Horrible game to watch, they came to do a job on us and it worked, just pleased Ross pulled off a stoppage time brilliant penalty save because neither side deserved to win. Weak ref today, he booked 5 of theirs plus the manager but the free kick debacle when they were clearly time wasting was an absolute joke, the ref should have been stronger and their number 3 should have walked first half for clearly chucking Barrows into the wall but he only received a yellow. We need to move the ball quicker and sharpen our passing up when playing teams like these, not a good watch at all.

If we win the league by a point you may want to adjust your thinking.

Can’t grumble about today tbh. They were the better team.
Could pass the ball to the same team which is a starter and easily nullified our front two.
Whitehall would have been sent off today so best he wasn’t playing.

Carlton and Fishburn sorry but I really don’t see them making the grade. Headless

‘Sharpen the passing’ This will be a topic for the season

“Butler”! You bloody Muppet where was Whitehall?

Butler was to blame for many things, but not for not playing an injured player.

I do agree that Carlton was poor and we missed Whitehall. Also, even if he was having a poor game, subbing for a defensive midfielder was odd.

If we win the league by a point because of a home draw surely we would’ve won it by 3 with a win? How far we’ve fallen

words to describe how we are

    * INNCONSISTANT
    overly DEFENSIVE
    * UNCONVINCING
    POOR
    Lucky to be top

But lets wait for the post match usual warbling ..like a claret n blue parrot !!

Yes but if we win the league by a point because of a draw it means a draw does win you something overall and not sod all as was stated.

That was our worst home performance of the season by 100 miles, apart from a couple of good saves and a melee in their six yard box how they somehow kept us out we were pathetic, even Callum was out of touch today, then play the latter stages without a striker says it all, be fair to Radcliffe they didn’t look like a team at the bottom end, and the only plus was Fitzsimmons penalty save

Fair enough. I had missed your referral to the previous post and sarcastic nature of it.

Was it the worst performance though? We didn’t have the guile to beat them by a long way.
We created very little due to them muscling us of the ball.
The turned up with task in hand and tbh dispatched it perfectly.

That’s what Torps was saying pretty much. Though he was perhaps being generous
