Up turn in performances and form with him in CM. I hope he makes it his own.

October 25, 2021 at 7:40 pm #216461Pugh has made a difference and dove tails well with Hippolyte and Hackney, all cover a lot of ground, hardworking and can play a bit at times.
Everybody has seen enough of league 2 to know that as long as you’re organised and have an energetic team who cover a lot of ground then you’re always in with a chance.
Early days yet but the I like the balance in there with those 3.
Cox saw Pugh as a RB too.
Absolute Madness !

October 25, 2021 at 7:45 pm #216463Thought Hackney and Hippolyte had their best game for us on Saturday, but neither should be starting in front of Beestin.
Been impressed with Pugh thus far; offers us energy and bite in the midfield which the others sometimes lack.

October 25, 2021 at 7:59 pm #216464Tom Pugh is far better than any of the last lot of signings (permanent or loanees)
Anyone that saw him rated him, well apart from his manager !!
Do I think Mr Cox will do it again – YES. Maybe not Tom but with someone else.

October 25, 2021 at 8:38 pm #216465If Kenyon, Perry, Beestin, Wood, Hackney, Hippo & Pugh are all fit at the same time what does Cox do?

Keep Kenyon and Wood on the bench unless needed, that should restrict his choice to players who on their day can make a real difference to the team in midfield.

October 25, 2021 at 11:31 pm #216469It makes the decision to bring in Wood and Hackney on deadline day even more baffling!

October 26, 2021 at 6:43 am #216473Makes the decision to give them so many opportunities to have a decent game between them a really strange one – Hackney finally managed it on Saturday.
Had probably our 3 of our best 4 performances this season since Pugh returned. Not blaming the loanees – they arrived unpprepared for mens football as you would expect. To put them both in at once was bizarre to say the least.

October 26, 2021 at 3:49 pm #216488Maybe Beestin’s turn on the naughty step – Cox has a habit of alienating individuals. O’Malley, Rowe, Pugh, Eisa, McAtee, They can’t all be wrong and our worst ever manager right

October 26, 2021 at 7:57 pm #216525Other than KDT how many of his signings have been on the naughty step ?
October 26, 2021 at 8:10 pm #216526Shouldn’t matter whether they’re his signings or not, his job is to get the best out of his squad not render them useless by ignoring them.
October 26, 2021 at 8:35 pm #216529Even at the time it seemed odd but in retrospect the decision to drop Pugh to accommodate the two loanees at Northampton on the back of the Tranmere win was a catastrophic one. It’s taken us a long time to recover from it, hopefully Saturday was the start of something.
