The Elliot resignation and the tone in which is wrote has took away the slightest optimism I had for the football club. There were 1500 in the ground yesterday and regardless what Swann states: That is not sustainable.

I honestly think we are serious trouble and have no faith in the current board to keep professional football in the town.

Stevenage game bank holiday Monday looks the most suitable out of the remaining 3 fixtures. Could easily be the game that sends us down too.

Even if it’s a walkout, a few banners or a gathering in the car park. It’s got to the point- for me anyway- where feelings need to be shown.

I fully agree and im surprised as a fan base nothing has really been done so far. Look at clubs like oldham and southend with fans showing some togetherness to stand up to another clown ruining their football club. Its about time and long over due we all stood together and show that enough is enough. We are another bury fc in the making and our club is rotten to core! I hope something can be seriously arranged because we are losing our football club from right under our noses and its took the absolute piss. Im fuming to say the least and every podcast i hear with swann i feel is another insult to the fans!

    SWANN OUT!

Don’t just talk about it, get it ORGANISED.

You shouldn’t expect someone else to take responsibility. Get off your arses and start planning.

The Mansfield game would be the ideal game with all the away fans to deal with. If Swannys got any business sense he’ll let them have the east stand as well just like they did with Cardiff.

Mansfield probably better as I think Stevenage is a grass roots day (ironic as this will see us relegated, if not before)

C’mon let’s get this demo organised. Should have been done several games ago. It needs to be done properly and with most fans on board.

A mass walk out in the 72nd minute to symbolise our 72 years in the football league coming to an end. Then gather outside the Telegraph stand at the director’s entrance.

That’s if anyone can last 72 minutes watching this rubbish.

Now this is a good idea, non violent, and would really send a statement to the Swann’s, however for it to work EVERYONE has to be onboard.

Great idea now we just need everyone in attendance to do it

Someone needs to shine a light on Peter Swann for the wider world to see

Yes Samways it is a good idea of yours to all walk out in the 72nd minute, but if fans see me leaving at that time of a game, it would just seem like normal times, same as you say, it is so boring and pathetic , it takes some dedication staying that long.

Just think though, it would really look funny with only UptheIron99 remaining in the centre of the Cluggy Stand, showing his wrath at such loyal fans action!!!!!!!

You’re going to organise a protest against a man who has said he is in talks with 3/4 parties about selling the club?

Thick as…. all it will do is put off any potential owners. As Simon Elliott said on Facebook the club have already lost sponsors because of some ‘fans’ actions.

Are we going to actually make this happen then because i would be up for it and we need to start acting now. Im not just on about a one off game either i think it needs to happen at every home game from now.

Why does the protest have to be peaceful? More would attend for something a bit more feisty, can’t really say to much about home games but at away games people have being walking out before half time, would any one notice, it might have an effect if we were winning but come on your talking about the 72nd minute and probably against Mansfield. Nah.

Quite telling how as soon as there is new talk of protests and dissent you suddenly reappear! One could be forgiven for thinking there’s a link. Substitute ‘thick as’ for ‘morons’ maybe?

Same as you say Awaywego, the 72 min is far too late, it might be better in the 48th minute!!!

Protests might put off potential owners? Give over. If such potential owners are put off by fans expressing their views, then they’re not the sort of owners we want.

If they played Heart of Gold people would automatically think of Steve Wharton not Peter Swann.

If Swann is to be believed it won’t need any money to keep it afloat now that his business model has resulted in a break even situation.Plus of course the extra revenue from the fans who will return when Swann has gone.
