He hasn’t been going so not sure he’ll even know about it.

Also what do you expect to happen? Swann sell up and the players turn into Messi?

What is it with everyone in society wanting a reason to protest? Grow up.

Think he’s scared of showing up, he’s a narcissist, rather like Mr Trump he doesn’t react well to criticism even when he knows it’s his fault.

The one and only reason you prick, this being that our once beloved club is being guided out of business by owners and management that have no clue regarding running a football league club.

Shame on Swann, Cox, Lillis and Mussa, they are clueless.

What is it with everyone in society wanting a reason to protest?

And what is it with everyone in society sitting back and accepting crap?

The UK is not the Conservative Party’s country it’s OUR country! We are not merely customers of Tim Martin and Richard Branson.

The same is true of Scunthorpe United.

However I do agree that at present any protest would be better held on Blackpool seafront!

Knows it’s his fault? That’s the trouble – apparently he doesn’t.

There is a difference between knowing and accepting it Cass, the narcissist just won’t accept it, even if he knows he won’t admit it. Guess it’s a form of mental illness.

We could all match in protest to the tune Get Into The Groove by Madonna, that might bring a few more out.

Protest against who just Swann or the management as well. Something has to give we cannot go on week after week losing like this. If there is going to be a protest do it right we dont want 20-30 people turning up. A protest will have an effect as the only other option is sit back and watch us die.

Watch us die like Chesterfield, Grimsby, Southend, Notts County, Wrexham, Stockport, Torquay etc?

If you don’t like the English football pyramid go support a franchise league.

None of our anger should be directed towards the management/players. Cox is a decent bloke who will be hurting as much as us; he appears well out of his depth but that’s not his fault. Nor the players who are clearly trying, but again, just not league standard.

A protest has to be a United from amongst the little supporters there are left. Organised for a certain time and promoted by those with a decent reach on social media The iron bru podcast, Iron trust, max bell etc. Momentum will build if it appears enough are interested.

Personally, I’ve had enough of the laughing stock we’ve become. A non league stint will hurt but it’s always inevitable when you are one of the smaller clubs in the football league, I can live with that. I can’t stand the fact we’ve had our assets stripped for a debt incurred by an egomaniacs spending spree.

    SWANN OUT

So your saying sit back and take it. Fans are deserting in the hundreds the football on show is rubbish. You mention those clubs but what about the other side of the coin Bury, Darlington ,York, Scarborough, Hereford. I have been watching Scunthorpe United since 1969 and never has it been as bad as this both on and off the pitch so I think this entitles me to have a say.

I could make some acceptance of non-league if there was some hope of making our way out of it. Does anyone seriously think we have a cat in Hell’s chance with Swann as owner? Seemingly uninterested, AWOL and with a draconian grip on the club and only his family as directors.

His ownership has been full of nepotism, and that is never good, since there’s no-one who can call him out. Not like that would work, since he appears to have a prickly personality. An owner who can’t take advice or criticism is not a good sign.

None of us are asking Mr Swann to spend silly money, which we all enjoyed in the first few years of his tenure but we just want him to accept he’s not doing a good job & to do something that shows that he cares about the club.

If he’s running it at break-even and not prepared to invest any money, then what is the point of him being here?

I would like to get his views on attendances, the squad & the real risk of relegation and whether he accepts that he is responsible for all 3. No more harping back to the League 1 play-off seasons, it’s all about now and it’s a disaster.

Radio Humberside are normally pretty good at finding him, maybe Mike White could give him a call.

    Regarding ‘silly money’ comment.

The majority of what has been spent has gone on mediocrity – and is not silly more like stupid. Over the seasons many have commented on the recruitment policy, been told there will be no changes in it so one assumes where we are now was the intention all along.

Oh for a recording of all the Swann Forums when certain comments were made. What next I wonder ??

If you don’t like the English football pyramid go support a franchise league.

So there you go, you prove my point.

You have already accepted relegation out of the EFL.

The purpose of the pyramid system is to provide an incentive to perform to your optimum. We have seen precious little of that over the past four seasons.

Anyway, the OP is not about the performance of the team. There are several other threads for that.

Not at all, chances are though that any ‘protest’ won’t have any positive impact on player performance and just make things worse for them.

Perhaps your energy would be better spent finding a new owner/consortium that can ensure wages/bills would continue to be paid on time.

Perhaps the current owner could try that instead of sitting back waiting to cash in on a lucrative property development that will come his way once the club folds. It is his incompetence regarding budget overspend that has caused all this aggro BTW not the fans.

‘If you don’t like the English football pyramid go support a franchise league’

Has anybody said or intimated that? Rest assured none of those clubs or their fans wanted to lose league status. It might be more helpful if you stopped talking out your backside.

There’s zero chance the club will fold.
