I think if we’re not taken over for another month or so we’ll already be down. People may think that’s a slight over reaction but honestly do believe that.
How long do you think we have to be taken over to have a genuine shot at turning this season around ?
Lavery will be moving on too either next week or week after as his contract is up. Keep that in mind.

[/quote I would think that we are beyond the stage where we can be saved WG, what with only one point from the past eight matches or some thing like that, were is a bloody win going to come from, and we need about seven wins at least to have any chance of saving yet another relegation. It is ok Nelson keep saying after games that “we should have taken something from the games, the facts are that they are not taking anything from them!!!!!!
The team and management just are simply not good enough to even stay up in non-league football.

We need TEN wins & four draws from the remaining 22 games to stay up.
We’ve managed THREE wins from the first 24 games.
The reality is, that if the Club is around in its present guise next season, then it’ll be playing in the NLN.
Latest relegation odds:
Scunthorpe 1/10 ON
Torquay 1/2
Maidstone 8/15
Gateshead 4/6Oldham 11/10
Yeovil 11/4
York 5/1
Dorking 5/1
Aldershot 5/1
Maidenhead 5/1Wealdstone 16/1
Prior to today, we were 1/6 ON to be relegated.
Constitution Hill won at odds of 1/7 ON today.
See how greatly superior this horse is to its rivals.
That’s how inferior and far behind we are as a team.Watch from 1 min 30 seconds to 4 min 10 seconds – then, the penny might drop!
The probability of relegation is now 90.9091%
91% !

That was a Grade 1 race.
The second placed horse has previously won SIX Grade One races herself.December 27, 2022 at 6:56 am #251184I accepted relegation to NLN, takeover or no takeover a month or two back.

December 27, 2022 at 10:56 am #251197December 27, 2022 at 1:18 pm #251217I was purely working on the premise that if we were to be taken over and signed 7 or 8 quality players would there be enough time to salvage this season but maybe I’ve overdosed on Christmas turkey.
December 27, 2022 at 1:23 pm #251219A group of eight of us at yesterday’s game and I asked the question who thought we would stay up this season. The unanimous result was none of us. God I hope we’re proved wrong.

December 27, 2022 at 1:30 pm #251221He has almost done for us if he remains in control for another month.
If he went for Administration then the points deduction will also ensure relegation to NLN.
He then has the ultimate weapon – Liquidation ! But not sure how he would win or lose going down that path.December 27, 2022 at 3:04 pm #251236It would seem the best outcome would be liquidation, the points deduction wouldn’t alter the fact that we’re heading to NLN, and Swann loses control, (other than the ground,) I can live with that.
December 27, 2022 at 3:58 pm #251242If the owner suddenly say, died in his sleep or got run over and killed, would his wife assume control of the sale?

Not just turkey WG, I think that a few drams of spirits have been consumed ha ha!, just ask yourself which quality players would dream of joining the present set up at GP??, losing matches every week, certain of second division of non-league football, and not knowing if your wage packet will be available at the end of each month.

Undoubtedly he’d win, wouldn’t he ?. The club will get wound up but he will keep the assets he signed over to coolsilk.
I wonder whether he suspected there was a chance this would happen and that’s why he did what he did ?

Not at all, I was just wondering if the next person who took charge would bring a more considered approach to negotiating a deal more in line with the long term interests of the club. Probably clutching at straws but I wonder how things would pan out in such a scenario?
