Entry is now open for the 2022/23 Prediction League.
I’ve made the decision to lower the entry fee to £10 in an attempt to boost numbers as we did not have as many entrants last season.
Cash prizes are on offer for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
You can enter via the Paypal donate button below.
Thank you for your continued support!
June 30, 2022 at 4:09 pm #239689Done!
Should be interesting, particularly having to predict the likes of Dorking Wanderers v Wealdstone!
Iron nil every week should get us a few points though.

June 30, 2022 at 5:39 pm #239706Done, I expect my usual lack of successful prediction but am happy to make my annual contribution
June 30, 2022 at 5:44 pm #239707Done. One of my favourite charities.
June 30, 2022 at 7:32 pm #239717Will be doing it usual way if that is ok ?
Could I fail twice and have 2 teams, to do that do I need to register twice or can you do it ?

July 2, 2022 at 2:15 pm #239850Put me down for one will give me an incentive to keep up with the NL will send the cash later
July 2, 2022 at 3:21 pm #239857Should be a breeze Rich, Bru posters know b….. all about the NL.
(Or football in general in some cases)July 3, 2022 at 7:42 am #239912Yeah it’s a tough one to predict tbf and loads of results you don’t expect.
What’s the prediction every game every week?
There is some good away days though in the NL i live down south so got to loads down here Eastleigh, Woking and Aldershot enjoyable
Weymouth was my personal favourite because they let you drink a pint by the side of the pitch but they went down so you won’t get that oneJuly 3, 2022 at 7:50 am #239913Think home games against the weaker teams will be massive for you, hopefully the fixtures don’t put you up against a load of the better teams first up as it might destroy confidence (especially if you still have mainly kids playing) just don’t expect many big away followings from the smaller southern teams
July 3, 2022 at 12:09 pm #239924What’s the prediction every game every week?
5 games every match day that The Iron are playing, selected by SST. Always includes our game, I’m sure SST will post the rules for newcomers. (Free Tip:- Iron nil usually gets you points)

Presumably that included the players, which is why they went down!
When I was playing in the Newcastle Corinthians League we had a cup-tie against a lower division outfit. They had a Turkish lad on the wing who spent most of the game stood on the touch line with his girlfriend smoking a cigarette. When the ball came towards him he passed the fag to her, did his little run up the wing, then when they lost possession he sauntered back to his smoke.
Bizarre!

July 3, 2022 at 2:22 pm #239931Shame some of our players couldn’t pass the ball as successfully as he passed his fag, they wouldn’t have got it back like he did.

July 11, 2022 at 6:58 pm #240343How’s recruitment going Matt? Have we got a stronger squad than The Iron at this stage?

July 27, 2022 at 12:58 pm #241366In it and looking forward to pitching our respective football knowledge in a whole ‘New’ world.
Going to be fun. Remember this helps Matt run the Forum so hope all from last season and previous seasons join and rejoin. YOUR website needs YOU and of course the ridiculously low sum of £10.
So much fun ahead.
July 27, 2022 at 1:35 pm #241374The first few weeks are bound to be hard work, unpredictable which which can’t be good for the league
July 27, 2022 at 6:28 pm #241395Let’s just hope that The Iron’s results are not as predictable as last season.
July 27, 2022 at 10:22 pm #241400Until we beef up the forward line putting 0 next to Scunthorpe United will remain a safe bet!

July 31, 2022 at 12:43 pm #241618I will start with wanton optimism [usually do]. I do not expect to hear of targeting in any game, I expect to go for a win in every game. If the manager adopts negativity it will only end one way – badly !
August 1, 2022 at 8:29 am #241679Joined! Hard to believe, but I actually won the prediction league many many moons ago, and last season I was pleased to end up third from bottom, just out of the relegation spots.

August 2, 2022 at 4:06 pm #241841Come on forum users. You can make a big difference. The money raised really does help Matt to keep YOUR forum going !
August 2, 2022 at 4:41 pm #241843Is PayPal safe?
August 2, 2022 at 6:45 pm #241860If you would prefer to do BACS I can accommodate.

Thank you
August 3, 2022 at 12:56 pm #241908I entered a few days ago. But now my name has disappeared from the league table? I don’t like PayPal and found the payment difficult.Am I in or not?
August 5, 2022 at 8:35 am #242061How does the points system work.
