RH, suggested Ian Sharp, film star and producer and from scunthorpe. Can’t find anything to suggest his worth, if he can afford it could be a good move, but as KH said in today’s interview you own a football club to spend money!

In all seriousness he does a lot of horror movies I believe so it sounds like a good fit.

Hope this consortium can see the potential.
All we need is guaranteed cash injections on a regular basis and just watch us soar.

There can’t be any potential buyers, as UTI99 said that no-one would be interested in Scunthorpe Utd. :-)

Any further news on this? Need something to cheer me up after the last 4 seasons!

Whatever happens, I can’t imagine it will be quick, these things take time.

“On the verge” said UTI99. Must be close then as he seems to be close to the owners.

Would be nice to be on the verge after four years in the gutter.

Maybe one day we’ll make it as far as the road to recovery.

I expect if it’s like summer signings fans will get to know sometime in July at the same time as the new strip is announced.

Will this seasons third strip (pay extra and get your name included in the design) be available before the start of next season?

I think that’s where he parks his car on match day cass.

Be interesting to what the details are in any potential sale; primarily will the ground be included or will it remain in the clutches of Coolsilk.

In my opinion Swann is surely going to want at least £5million for the ground and X amount of million for whatever his shares are worth and investment out in.

You’re looking at potentially £10million sale for a National league club.

Surely the value of the club will plummet after relegation, I doubt anyone would pay anything like £10m.

What he wants is not necessarily what he will get. All depends on what situations exist elsewhere.

Even with the soon to expire planning permission on the apartments I doubt the club and ground would be valued at even half the suggested £10m.

    Except perhaps by the landlord.

They might, it’s good building land I believe.

I am no property developer but I suspect there are not many towns in England with a lower price for building land than Scunthorpe.

Absolutely. Plus the economy is absolutely booming at the moment!

For reference, Crawley’s new owners claim to have paid £5 million for the club last week, which did not include the ground.

Surprised they paid that much without the ground. Although of course they are a League club.

Suspect they may have a ground purchase option and of course building land in Crawley is a bit pricier than round here.

It showed the ground was purchased for £5million in the latest company accounts.

Surely that’s the minimum starting price in any negotiation ?

Sharp and Maza .. great double act , get them in cant be any worse than Swann. Twill be interesting to see how the ground ownership is factored into any purchase ..lets just say we dont need Swann to be the landlord and paying him rent… 100% clean break new owners owning everything , new manager squad .. PROPER STRUCTURED INVESTMENT TOTAL REVAMP RE SET call it what you want… then in 3 to 5 seasons we MAY stand a chance of some success.

Who knows? But I bet Bury fans were saying that when Steve Dale took over from the previous owner who had got them into financial problems.

Suspect they may have a ground purchase option and of course building land in Crawley is a bit pricier than round here.

Apparently Crawley’s ground is owned by the council, so presumably it’s completely separate from the club ownership. Possibly to protect the club against predatory owners, given the cost of land around there.

Paddy Madden £3k a week at Stockport.
Big budget needed to get out of that league – in the right direction… promotion.

Whoever it is most of us will get a couple of years of optimism for what might be before the likely rot sets in. They won’t please all of the people all of the time that’s for sure.
