April 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm #205554First 2 answer themselves IMO. Last one a bit more thinking required, will return if there’s not much else on but won’t take much for a better offer and certainly won’t be renewing my ST!

April 27, 2021 at 3:19 pm #2055621st two questions good and fair questions.
The last question needed a third option. Something like ‘MAYBE, BUT NEED TO FIND OUT WHO IS DECIDING ON RECRUITMENT AND THE CONTRACT LENGTHS THAT LEADS TO SQUAD STABILITY GOING FORWARD.

April 27, 2021 at 3:27 pm #205564I’ll go back to a game or two when we’re able to, in order to catch up with friends I haven’t seen for such a long time. But I can’t see myself going back regularly.
I’m genuinely interested to hear reasons from the (so far) 6 people who’ve voted to say they supported Swann remaining in charge of our club. For what reason? Lack of an alternative? Belief in his vision? Encouraged by his track record?

Members of the Swann family?
April 27, 2021 at 4:17 pm #205575I put “dont know”
Yes I am worried about the state of the club and the team but whilst I think the chairman has made some fundamental and expensive mistakes I have yet to see proof he does not have the best interests of the club at heart.
I certainly don’t blame him for trying to stop the financial bleeding.
I will continue to call out when I think he makes bad decisions but will not criticise his integrity until he gives me reason to do so.

I am glad he is not spending at the levels we saw a few years ago.

April 27, 2021 at 5:48 pm #205582What happens when Swann racks up another debt through his miss management?

April 27, 2021 at 7:30 pm #205606Soon to become Mrs Management?
April 27, 2021 at 8:58 pm #205630Thanks for this SST
Be interesting to see how this ends up the more people know about it and cast their votes
Seems clear so far the ‘clearing of all debts’ isn’t seen as a positive thing!!
Will I return to GP… can’t see it while the current ownership & manager are involved… my love for the team has been absolutely smashed to bits

April 28, 2021 at 9:14 am #205699Speaks volumes the last part of the poll on who is bothered about attending GP.
I’m afraid this last year has put too much into prospective within people’s lives.
And the total divide between the Club and Supporters is just too far to bridge now.
We’ve seen No progress in any areas.

April 28, 2021 at 9:31 am #205700I will return to Glanford park because my blood runs claret and blue through my veins.
If what’s on offer on the pitch is anywhere as bad again anger can then be vented and not kept pent up.

April 28, 2021 at 10:15 am #205708Not bothered with i follow and not listened to Hullberside at all this season. Will return once this strange season has passed to meet friends and to be able to moan in person.
Do not want my last match at Scunny to be a defeat to the cods.
Fresh start next season and ever hopeful things will get better but not confident. At least its better than shopping.1 user thanked author for this post.
April 28, 2021 at 11:31 am #205721i will probably go to a couple of early season matches, but after many years as a season ticket holder, and supporting the club at the OSG and GP, I will certainly not commit to a season ticket, simply because I cannot see things changing on the playing field. I am not turning out just because I have done for 69 years when there is no longer any enjoyment or any entertainment being offered to me.
Can any supporter honestly see any likely changes happening whils Cox is selecting the team, and even more so selecting the 100% defensive boring system he wishes to instill into the team, added to the fact that Swanns son is now head of recruitment, he has proved that he does not have the slightest experience or idea of assessing players.
April 28, 2021 at 5:15 pm #205757I’ll still make the 300+ miles round trip, but less often.
I’ll probably just come down for the big games like Chesterfield and Notts County.

April 28, 2021 at 11:01 pm #205787I’ll pop down to see the showhome and choose my kitchen
April 29, 2021 at 4:50 pm #205884What concerns me is how he has taken us down to almost being, or maybe actually being relegated from the football league. The value of the club itself must be peanuts compared to the days when we were making the playoffs in L1.
Now he has shifted ownership of the ground and stadium to one of his own ltd companies. So what will happen if he resigns as chairman?
This stinks like Grimsby docks on a hot summers day. 👎
April 29, 2021 at 6:05 pm #205896It’s a difficult one to understand, he’s actually sold the ground to himself. If he wants to sell surely no one would buy without the ground included as the other bits really don’t have any value, the players in contract certainly aren’t worth much.
April 30, 2021 at 1:47 am #205934If he owned 100% of the club, it would be true that he’d “sold the ground to himself”, but he doesn’t. If the value of the land/property is worth more than £11m (I’ve no idea), he’s potentially in breach of his fiduciary duty to the remaining shareholders.
