2 big league spankings in those fixtures.
Wrexham will embarrass us in the cup.
🥺November 25, 2022 at 1:42 pm #249211Nil point with Daws in charge.
Lucky to get another 15 points before end of the season.
If the sale doesn’t go through soon it will be curtains.November 25, 2022 at 3:13 pm #2492144pts from.a possible 12 in December is my prediction .. thats 1 win n a draw… not 4 draws

That means we will finish the season on 27 / 28 points.
Will we escape relegation next year from the NLN?

December 3, 2022 at 3:27 pm #249860We all know that captain obvious
December 3, 2022 at 4:26 pm #249865Bloke who sits near me joked to Ian Sharp at half time we need 8 new players, Ian replied 11.
December 3, 2022 at 5:00 pm #249870Perspective, how many teams have Notts County beaten this season, how good are they compared to the bottom half of teams in the National League? These are obvious and easy questions to answer, we need changes, that’s another obvious answer, we need investment, obviously, it will take time and patience before change arrives.

It is as bad as it seems.
In fact, it’s worse!December 3, 2022 at 5:07 pm #249872Notts County showed us the level you need to be at to stand a chance of getting out of this leagues at the right end.
It’s about 5 years since we have had a team that would have beaten them.
Shows how difficult it will be to get back into the EFL. County have been throwing cash at it for 5 years and still have not managed it. We look like we will have to win a promotion before we even get a shot at it.

December 3, 2022 at 5:19 pm #249876Could agree with most of that Ironawe, but changes should be immediate, the new owners should know by now who they want as manager so go get him and let him build for the following season in NLN.

Otherwise, like most of the others, we’ll end up servicing a debt.December 3, 2022 at 8:26 pm #249899Come New Years Eve, I believe we will have 15 points from 25 games.
That means we will finish the season on 27 / 28 points.
Rather a bold statement don’t you think?

But the new owners are not the new owners yet are they?

At the current PPG, if the ‘form’ was to continue, then that’s what we’d end up with.
50 points will keep us up.
So we need 35 points from the next 24 games.
10 wins & 5 draws.It ain’t going to happen.
Bookies know it.
So do we.December 3, 2022 at 10:41 pm #249903AnonymousInactiveOffline

Scunthorpe 1/6
Torquay 4/7
Gateshead 8/13
Maidstone 5/6December 3, 2022 at 11:42 pm #249909What price are we to stay up?
December 4, 2022 at 7:00 am #249916taking all into consideration even with the new ownership bounce the only points we may pick up will be Yeovil .. alas im not hopeful n as the thread header suggests a pointless December a distinct possibility.
December 6, 2022 at 7:57 pm #250080Diehard Iron fan or not, any amount of optimism since the takeover has to be crushed once you view the league table. Horrendous stats and only 15 points and a team which can ship goals quite easily with minimal effort required by the opposition. I think it will be quite a miraculous recovery if we manage to achieve 5th bottom this season. I really hope we can do it with some sort of intervention from our saviours, new players manager etc but I have already been looking to see if there is consessions for 60+ at Curzon Ashton.
December 6, 2022 at 8:40 pm #250084I think a reasonable comparison can be made with our fishy friends when they changed hands, they went down then came back up straight away, albeit from this league back to the EFL. Good chance we can do the same next season from the NLN back up to the NL.
