This statement could only be supplied by the one and only Uptheiron-69, but my only doubt is that it does not end with “Peter Swann is not to blame for anything that has happened to SUFC, so called fans should turn out a support the team every week, it is completely their fault”.

Well. Fans making allegedly ‘destructive’ comments: powers-that-be sticking to incredibly destructive actions?

Please can a moderator/SST ban me from replying on this forum. I waste far too much time replying to people who seem to enjoy nothing better than offering destructive comments about SUFC.

Can you give us a few examples of these destructive comments please. I see plenty of justified criticism, it’s a football forum after all, but I’ll need reminding of a significant number of posts that could be classed as destructive.

“Powers-that-be sticking to incredibly destructive actions” would take rather longer, Cass.

Ironic that they regularly berated the fans for non attendance, then do a runner from the forum.

If Iron Bru goes into liquidation it’ll be their fault!

Soon it’s gonna be a fortnight into training with no signings.
Must we assume that a number – possibly greater than the 2/3 mentioned by LT – will be signed from trialists?
Let us say that this were the case – we then have two mega problems unresolved – goal-scorers and pace. Both seem completely absent from the squad.

As for the goalkeeper issue …

Seems like a Huddersfield U23 Peplow played for us today. Another possible trialist? Judging by the text commentary he got involved when he came on.

As for the goalkeeper issue …

You seen the Boro U23 highlights? All 3 goals absolutely comical, two being the keepers’ fault.

Fits our usual profile. Injured already.

He must have a dodgy back after picking the ball out of the net last season

Mark Howard signed for Wrexham. Watson v Howard the only thing that Cox got right, gave Watson 7 games and realized he was a liability and forced a Swanny U-turn.

Sam peplow is a LB/LW so appears to be a versatile player which we’re going to need this coming season. Peplow did fairly well when he came on.

Anybody know if Ledger, Rochdale young RB or that GK are still around ?

Looks like Hill wants to stock pile left backs

I think he’s more of a left winger though and if Nthle is ever used to fill in at CB we may need a player like him. Hill seems to like him according to the post match interview.

Peplow came off injured today due to rolling his ankle so hopefully he’s alright in not too distant future.

The ones we want from these trialists – will they have realised just how low their salaries are going to be yet?

Gordon Banks in his prime would have been a liability in front of the shambles Rory had in front of him! Anyone that thinks last couple of seasons would have been any different with a different keeper either knows nothing about football or is seriously deluded and kidding themselves!

Does read like Keith wants Peplow. In his post match he has said he “..looking forward to developing him as a player”.

I’m slightly concerned that the names of trialists has been revealed, although it’s something we’re all keen to know. Normally names are withheld so as not to alert other clubs to their availability. Does this mean that there is absolutely no chance that any other club could possibly be interested in the quality of player that we’re giving trials to?

“Wolves and Bristol City players on trial at Notts County”

An example of what we’ll be up against next season? A touch above Warrington Rylands! Mind you we’ve had a couple of duds from Wolves IIRC.

A couple also from Championship club Middlesbrough so getting a good’un isn’t guaranteed. We should look at Peplow though, Huddersfield has been a happy hunting ground for us, Wallace, Lolley and Holmes weren’t bad.

Glad we’re not looking at the Bristol player on trial at notts Cass, he’s only started 5 games since 2020 4 of them for Grimsby during their relegation season, Try to remember Cass Wolves and Bristol city are just a name and no guarantee of the player being any good.
