Three more poinys gone, and Cheltenham were also very poor, they seem to prefer playing away.
-WATSON—5=–Very poor first half, flapped at long throw in resulted in their goal, good 2nd half.
BEDEAU–5–Did ok without being brilliant.
ONARIASE–7–aGAIN mom IN A VERY POOR TEAM.
hornshaw–4–mUST BE HIS LAST GAME FOR A WHILE.
O’MALLEY–4–Poor passing, overhit too many forward passes.
SPENCE4–Again, not good enough.
CORDNER–5–Did ok.
GILLIEAD–5–Not his usual self, possibly given up with this team.
TAYLOR—2—Was he actually playing, send him back to Forest.
EISA–5–Few good runs, shou; have scored, needs playing time.
JARVICE–4—A good first ten minutes, pity about the other 80.ALL SUBS—3—None of them made any difference to the team.
REF—4—Very pickey, too much whistle blowing and poor positioning of himself, never a penaly but he was in a poor location to actually seeit.
Another poor performance, but could have snatched a point.
MANAGER—Was not at the game, but Wilcox is almost as poor as Cox.
Poor value for our £10 notes, we must be bloody hard up for entertainment in out old ages.
October 20, 2020 at 9:07 pm #196243Watson 5 Still not a keeper
Hornshaw 2 not going to make it. Ridiculous penalty and inexplicably ran the ball out of play twice. Really bad
Bedeau 5 average game
Onoraise 7 solid
Cordner 4 poor distribution liability at corners again
OMalley 5 most sides exploit the poor positional awareness,
Taylor 4 average, would so better with some quality alongside
Gillead 4 out of position not in the game
Spence 4 Poor distribution and still struggles to track back
Eisa 6 improved showing should’ve done better with the shot
Jarvis 5 not really a goalscorer – but then again none of the fit strikers are which is a major problem.Better performance but we are not scoring and still conceding
Swann needs to pull his finger out and get a GK CM quick sharp
October 20, 2020 at 9:29 pm #196245I said last week Butroid should be back in. I know he has that bit of a dodgy start but he’s a lot better positionally than O’Malley.
I don’t get why Rowe isn’t playing, I don’t understand any of it. We need Olomola, Mcgahey and Rowe for the weekend.
I’d go Olomola and Turan upfront…our best two choices to be honest. I wouldn’t think that’s an option though due to keep playing that fecking formation with 1 upfront.
Can we cancel loan signings ?. Taylor was nowhere to be seen, he’s a good player but he’s a bit of a luxury player…he’s the type of player that needs to be in a team doing well to get anything out of…he’s not the sort to stick the boot in or track back.
Why did we need him anyway, we had Hallam and McAtee. Another masterstroke !
I’d much rather have had a capable experienced RB come in.
October 20, 2020 at 9:49 pm #196247Still only managed three goals in seven games, another major republican problem.
October 20, 2020 at 9:52 pm #196248We need and needed for three years now a strong central midfield partnership a keeper a left and right back, We get overrun in midfield no matter what formation we play. The keeper has 1 good game every 5/6 games meaning we need to score at least 2 goals most games just to get a point, hopefully junior brown and Jordan Clarke (if he can get fit) will get up to match fitness ASAP as we really need their experience. There are still plenty of out of contract players out there but money as with all clubs will determine our season if we don’t get experience ASAP it will be Yeovil, Woking ETC,ETC NEXT SEASON.
October 20, 2020 at 10:10 pm #196251Not sure why the man crush on Olomola WG. We have had a few professional managers and coaches none of whom have rated him. They could all be wrong and you right of course.
Personally only seen him play for us twice and he was shite.
October 20, 2020 at 10:23 pm #196252fela was not up to scratch with us before but we have fallen so far under the Prawns tenure that we do need him back to try and get a 4-4-2 going – that’s just how bad it is.
October 20, 2020 at 11:40 pm #196259Still only managed three goals in seven games,
Wow!
That is some statistic.
And 14 conceded is some statistic too. Have we ever been this bad?
October 21, 2020 at 12:53 am #196261Who else is there currently in this squad besides Olomola with any type of experience who has any type of track record who’s ready to come in and improve us ?
Van Veen is a month or so away yet. I can’t see us going out and signing another striker, can you ?
Nothing to do with having a crush on Olomola, it’s down to the lack of quality options at our disposal.
Please believe me, if Van Veen was fit and we had other option besides him, I wouldn’t be hoping Olomola comes back A.S.A.P in a bid to score goals would i ?
Let’s think logically here MKiron, who else is there currently at the club in the striking department where you’d be like “Oh, get him in he’ll score us goals and make difference” ?
Jarvis, Mooney’s out on loan, Loft “who looks a bit of a donkey”, Turan, Kev Who’s injured, Green “who’s seen as a winger” and Olomola.
Who out of those who’s here and able to play seems the best bet to notch us some goals ?
Use your head MKiron….
Olomola and Turan in my opinion are our best bets. Kev would obviously make a huge difference but guess what MKiron..he’s currently injured.
Eisa to get the best out of him needs playing on the wing, no more sticking him here there and everywhere, he should be played where he’s most comfortable. Sticking him upfront is stupid.
October 21, 2020 at 5:29 am #196263I do not see how people can say ‘had an average game’ and then give a 5 which represents a notch below average. A fair few have done this over recent games.
People are too cavalier with their marks – there is far too much gut reaction.
Most marks will be between 5 and 7 in any game. Below par, average, above average.
If everyone gets a 5 – you’d lose any game – and often by quite a margin.Take Hornshaw, last night – got a lot wrong you can justify a 4 but he was trying hard so can hardly go lower.
October 21, 2020 at 7:26 am #196266Les, if I played last night and you gave me a 4 for trying I would be over the moon getting a 4 alongside professional footballers. Trust me it wouldn’t be a great watch. It’s all subjective but I believe some of those players should not be professional footballers
October 21, 2020 at 7:52 am #196267O Malley is terrible, nowhere near ready for first team football, Butroid should be playing at the moment and cover for Brown and try getting O’Malley out on loan, he was dreadful last night
October 21, 2020 at 8:59 am #196269The keeper has 1 good game every 5/6 games
Generous, did you forget the noughts?

in the paper merit marks they used to call 6 as a average game.
playing Hornshaw at Right Back must have cost us around 6 points, it’s not the lads fault because he can’t play Right Back and will never be any good there, he isn’t a winger either so no good at Wing Back, the lad is a decent midfield player and to me a lot of signings this summer haven’t been thought about with the 2 players for each position, but like normal we seem to get more injuries than any other club at our level and it seems our better players seem to be the ones always injured.
October 21, 2020 at 11:14 am #196279Cordner seemed to be covering RB to an extent, at least, after Hornshaw went off. Looked so much better.
Play him there on Saturday, Bedeau to CB – 4 at the back. Still begs the question as to what we do with LB.
Butroid or O Malley and bring Junior on second half to get 40 minutes or so?I actually cheered last night when Rory explained why you leave a man on the halfway line when back defending. Fallon for manager?
October 21, 2020 at 11:30 am #196280O Malley is terrible, nowhere near ready for first team football, Butroid should be playing at the moment and cover for Brown and try getting O’Malley out on loan, he was dreadful last night
I’ve said the same for weeks now. Butroid would be my bet and Rowe would have been at RB until hopefully Clarke finds himself back to full fitness.
Very odd regarding Rowe. Cox keeps saying “oh, Rowe needs match fitness as he’s only got through one 90 minutes”…does he not believe in getting a players fitness up from first team football ?
Rowe’s had 2 weeks training and played 90 minutes of reserve football and came through fine…yet Hornshaw keeps being played there.
You work that one out !
Cox seems to make his decision on players pretty sharpish though as it appears after a shaky start, Butroid has been completely frozen out.
October 21, 2020 at 1:50 pm #196291Criticise players when they don’t perform in their OWN positions.
Both Rowe and Butroid are fit and have been for the last month. So why aren’t we trying to settle at least one line. That line is in a 4 4 2. I fully endorse a youth policy. But they have to be of a good standard and I don’t believe some of these are coping well with full time coaching and expectations.
We are at it again squares in round holes and opponents do their homework and know where a weakness may be.
Management on-field 0 don’t deserve a mark if you don’t put a RB where a RB should be.
Management off-field 0 – their master plan on recruitment, about as confused as you can get.October 21, 2020 at 1:55 pm #196292Not sure why the man crush on Olomola WG. We have had a few professional managers and coaches none of whom have rated him. They could all be wrong and you right of course.

Some players get better when they’re not in the team. Olomola is a good example of this.
October 21, 2020 at 11:32 pm #196342What I cannot understand is the Taylor that played in his forst mtch was not much less than being outstanding, but since then has not got involved in anything, he just doesn’t appear to be the slightest intesested, why has this big change in him happened ???, if he continues in this frame of mind, he needs sending back to Forest, we have a full team of not up to standard players, we do not need loaned one’s. Send him back an ask Forest if they can supply a goal keeper instead.
October 22, 2020 at 6:21 am #196343True, BS.
He is showing precious little bottle.October 22, 2020 at 11:50 am #196360Some players get better when they’re not in the team. Olomola is a good example of this.
I suggest you read my reply. Fully explained why I’m wanting him back.
Blame Swannster for that !
