Not pretty, but a big well done guys and a much needed three points.

HOWARD—7—Three or four good saves, but must help his defence by leaving his line at times.
CLARKE—9–Had a great game, looks to be clear of injuries, hope he stays that way.
BEDEAU–6—In the thick of things most of the match.
CORDNER–7–Had a good game, worked really hardd.
    O’MALLEY–7–Should be automatic starter.
HIPPOLYTE–6–Scored a goal, but his passing is very poor, but put in a shift.
GILLIEAD–7–Very good first half, but not sominvolved 2nd half.
    BEESTIN–8–Very good in mid field.
GREEN—6—Covered a lot of ground, gave his best.
    TAYLOR–5—Expect more from him.
LOF–5—Ran about a lot until injured, gives his best today.

    SUBS:-
JARVIS—4—Only on for a short while, nut did nothing really.
EISA–4—Only a shaddow of the real player we know.
McATTEE–2–Brought out of the creche to run aimlessly in positions where he would not be involved in play, he should have been subbed, given his mummy and sent back into the creche, he is a complete waste of space.

REF—4—Too many mistakes, and certainly was not a penalty, when that 6’6″ piece of cheating piss took about his sixth dive for free kicks of the game, the ref fell for most of them.

COX—6—Well we hung on for the points, but dropped far to deep during the last 25 minutes, order O’malley to take set pieces please, and give Mussa a kick up the arse, we let in another goal from a floated cross into our goal area, two yards from the goal line, and the keeper was once again rooted to his line, anyway well done for another away win, I wish that we could win a few home matches though.

Awaywego, The reason I said that it is time to get a few wins at home, was because teams usually win more points when playing at home than on there travels, or are you saying different just to be clever???? We may need a few home points just to keep us in the Football League, plus it would also add a bit of cheer to us long suffering supporters.

I am not able to watch many of the matches and rely on the radio commentary and the BBC updates which give the stats. I did watch the pathetic performances against Grimsby and Mansfield, where a lack of team spirit or leadership on the pitch was obvious.

The stats, though not 100% reliable, do show a pattern that we hardly ever start a home match on the front foot. Possession stats for home matches in the first half are usually 30-40%.

We seem to start the away matches more positive than the home matches, including last night. The stats back this up.

Clearly the team is far too cautious at home, not fired up before the match starts and have been carrying 2 or 3 who are not putting much effort in.

If Cox can sort this out, hopefully we can start winning at home. He needs to pick players that will give 100%, a midfield that tries to get forward from the start and stop relying on the big hoof from the defenders to one isolated man up front.

The Mansfield back 4 had no pace, turning circle of a tank, yet we hardly ever ran at them. The losses to Grimsby and Mansfield were unacceptable. We clearly aren’t a good team, but my opinion is we had better players on the pitch than either the Cods or Mansfield.

BS – 5 for Taylor?? Very harsh, he set up the 2nd goal and was involved in most the attacking play. Also didn’t stop running.

Howard: 7 – good penalty save and caught a few dangerous crosses.

O’Malley: 7 – Good defending but also like the fact he gets involved going forward.
Bedeau: 7 – Was busy all night and did pretty well.
Cordner: 7 – Much better from him, decent passing too.
Clarke: 7 – Put in a great tackle to prevent a goal.

Beestin: 8 – Always in the right place at the right time. Kept it simple, won the ball and passed forward to start the counter attack.
Taylor: 7 – Carried us up the pitch at times, got an assist and never stopped running.
Gilliead: 7 – He’s a workhorse and CM is arguably better suited to him than right wing.

Hippolyte: 6 – Thought he could have done better for their goal. Decent finish for ours but room for improvement in general.
Loft: 6 – Fair play for continuing through the pain barrier, did okay but nothing spectacular. Not sure why he smashed in to the keeper either.
Green: 6 – Bags of pace and looks dangerous at times. Needs to improve his end product.
