Eights all round for me except:

7 for Howard – a bit shy to take command of situations

9 for Spence – great midfield work

9.5 for Gillead. Only because I don’t do tens. What is this man doing in League 2.

McGahey not at his best for me. Very slow on their 2nd and I wasn’t quite sure about the first.
Spence was my MOTM with 9.
    Gilliead – 8.
Eisa – only 8. His corner taking was dire.
Beestin – 8 barely put a foot wrong.
Clarke 6 – but good reasons for that.
Howard – 6. Must command more!
Loft – buzzed, gave giants no easy headers and scored. 7.
O Malley – easily a 7. This kid is gonna be good.
Indeed 7s for all not mentioned.
    Ref: fine.
    Manager – a long time a-coming but 9.

Howard 7 needs to come out more
O Malley 7 solid good performance great cross – see what happens when you overlap!
Onoraise 8 Never seems to get less than an 8!
McGahey 8 Solid forming great partnership will Onoraise
Clarke 7 steady match did well
Spence 8 Good performance needed the rest
    Beestin 8 as above
Eisa 9 very lively good finish constant threat
Gillead 9 maybe 10 Great game MoM
McAtee 8 game time starting to make a difference
Loft 8 Not as isolated played well

Harrogate were shit but not as shit as the local commentators

If Spence only got a years contract when he signed that needs sorting ASAP.

Possibly worst commentators I’ve ever heard, after 80 minutes decided to start arguing the first goal never actually went in

When I go in through the Scunny website it goes straight to Humberside commentary. Why do some get the oppositions one?.

Although Onoraise was solid in defence his distribution was poor. Mcgahey is certainly a better defender

I agree with lots of the comments, but I am afeaid I cannot give above a 6 for Howard, for a long term experienced player, why the hell is he constantly rooted to his goal line, it must be a nihhtmare for the defence when they get no assistance in defending whilst the keeper just dtands on his line, and the first goal was his fault when beaten at the near post with an angled shot past him. Apart from this comment it was great to see the team sort of playing 4-4-2 like all supporters have been asking all season, just one comment, Eisa had a really cracking gaME APART FROM HIS TEN CORNERS NONE OF ANY BEAT THEIR FIRST MAN, WHY KICK THEM ALONG THE GROUND MAKING IT SO EASY TO CLEAR, THE MANAGER SHOULD HAVE GOT WORD THROUGH TO ORDER THAT gI;;IEAD SHOULD BE TAKING THEM.

HOWARD–6—Did not have hardly anything to do but still let in 2 goals, rooted to his line again!!!
CLARKE–7–Nice to see him back, experience beats raw youth, som3 good through balls.
    McGAHEY—8—Good soliddefence.
ONARIASE–8—Same as his partner, a very good pairing..
SPENCE–8–Worked throughout and never stopped working for the team.
BEESTIN–8–Another good mark and was involved in everything.
O’MALLEY—8–Good performance from him, good support for Eisa.
GILLIEAD—9—Really cracking game by him, he is certainly my MOM.
McATEE–8—–His best game this season, some good runs and passes, worked hard.
    LOFT—7—Ran himself into the ground
EISA–8– cracking speed and skills, would be a 10 if his corners beat their first man, take this corner duty from him.

REF—9—Very good and was not involved like some spoilers, he let the game flow.

COX—8—He selected the best team available to him, he played 4-4-2 instead of those silly stupid systems he so likes. The manager should have his goalkeeping coach and keeper into his office and tell them to sort out why the keeper stays rooted to the line for any cross ball etc, and then give Eisa a call and inform him and show him film footage of his ten rubbish corners from this game, and inform the captain that Gilliead shou;d take corners, because we are not gaining anything from any of the present balls just being passed along the ground, this team along with big Kevin when fit is our best eleven. The manager should base his selection on this.

Well done guys, a very welcolm showing from a team that was full of energy, and they showed how poor Harrogate are by attacking them and not playing to combat any strenghts of theirs, thats what we should do every game, let them worry about Scunthorpe.

Howard – 5 – can’t remember him making a save and really needs to be commanding and come off his line more.
Clarke – 6 – decent, will only get better with game time.
Onariase – 7 – defended well but too many aimless hoofs to nobody.
McGahey – 6 – not his best game, only really did the basics.
O’Malley – 7 – first time he’s made me think we have a prospect here!
    Gilliead – 9 – class above.
Spence – 9 – must have broken up play around 20 times and led by example in our high tempo press which was great to see the whole team doing well!
    Beestin – 8 – looked classy tonight.
Eisa – 9 – a constant threat when he’s on song as he was tonight (let’s ignore the shocking corners).
McAtee – 8 – looked the McAtee we know he can be, great pass for Eisa’s first.
Loft – 6.5 – decent enough and actually managed 1 or 2 passes that found a teammate.

Jarvis – 7 – thought he did really well after coming on, the ball definitely sticks with him a lot more than it does Loft.
Taylor – 6.5 – definitely better being further up the pitch.
Rowe – N/A – not really involved in the game enough to give a rating.

Cox – 9 – please let this be the proof that 442 is our best formation and anything else is garbage. Each player knew their role, the team played with the most tempo I’ve seen this season and pressed really well. Harrogate are very much a kick and rush team but I think our press forced them into this much more than they would have liked. I don’t think the scoreline would have flattered us if we’d have scored 8 tonight…more of the same please!

Spence got 2 years. It’s Beestin who’s contract is running out. In my opinion he needs to be signed on a longer deal, there will definitely be teams waiting to snaffle him up.

Beestin is quality, as is Spence.

O’malley played better than Brown has done and Loft to be fair to him played really well. I was really unsure on him but looks to be improving.

McAtee looked really good, as did Eisa and Gillead.

4/4/2 as said many times before is the only formation that we need to be playing…we’re more comfortable than in any other.

Gilliead is the most complete footballer we’ve had in years! Just love to watch him.

Desperately hoping we aren’t gonna prat around over contract renewals for our best half dozen players in January.
Some players actually merit large increases for next season.

Let’s hope we can get this squad trimmed in order to be able to afford that.
I know most out of contract would command a fee anyway but you will always get a better price if they have a contract in place.

It’s imperative we keep Beestin. If Swann messes around and we miss out on Beestin because of his stupid stance on contracts I’d be absolutely fuming.

Beestin is consistently one of the best players,we should be building the team around him for the coming seasons….not letting somebody else profit.

I really like Spence but I think Beestin is the better of the two for me…really needs to be kept.

Howard – 6 – Didn’t have alot to do – not at fault for the goals.
Clarke – 7 – Solid dependable performance, could see him talking and organising.
Onariase – 8 – A rock – headed everything, cleared everything, yes some hoofs but id rather him clear the ball than play us into trouble.
McGahey – 6 – Caught out a couple of times.
O’Malley – 7 – Few mistakes early but really grew into the game and looked comfortable
Gilliead – 7 – Busy performance, seen him play better but still a good game. Think it goes to show what a good season he’s having personally.
Spence – 9 – My MOM – covered every inch of the pitch, loves a tackle, some tidy passing. 100% effort
Beestin – 7 – Getting better – want to see him get a few assists / goals.
Eisa – 9 – Shouldn’t be taking corners! – but really dangerous going forward. Didn’t stop chasing down all game
McAtee – 8 – Some clever touches, tried to link up play. Loads more effort / defending from front than previous games
Loft – 7 – Good to see him in the box for the tap in – strong performance bullied some players.

Jarvis – 7 – Nearly messed up his goal – some decent hold-up play.
Taylor – 8 – Kids got bags of talent, 2 good feet – looking forward to seeing more
Rowe – 7 – 1 smash tackle, future RB of the team
