Player Marks – This Season To Date.
I have a single ?
11 players below par.
9 players who are par.
5 players above par.
6 – 6.5 is classed as par.
Less than this is below par.
More than this is above par.
I spent a long time trying to avoid knee-jerk reactions and to be fair to both fans and players. This is how I see it:
Watson – 5
Howard – 6
O Malley – 6.5
Brown – 6.5
Clarke – 5.5
Bedeau – 5
Cordner – 4.5
Onariase – 7
Hornshaw – 5
Vincent – 6
Taylor – 5
Hallam – ?
Turan – 4
Jarvis – 5
Loft – 5
MacAtee – 5.5
KVV – 7
Eisa – 6.5
Gilliead – 7
Hippolyte – 5
Spence – 6.5
Beestin – 7
Green – 6
Rowe – 6.5
McGahey – 7
Butroid – 5
Taking an overview, I reckon that these marks marry well to the kind of performances we have produced along with our current league position.
And how many would you release Les out of that list?
In January, 3 loanees. Hope we can get another three moved on – if possible.
Ship out a number on loan.
At the season’s end – quite a few. I don’t expect too many to leave with contracts still in place, though.
Ah. just realised that I’d not counted Olamola (5.5) in. If fit, he may be better than some current forwards but if a loan/ gift opportunity came up – would still take it. He must be on a hefty deal.
Watson – 5
Howard – 6
O Malley – 6.5
Brown – 6
Clarke – 6
Bedeau – 5
Cordner – 4.5
Onariase – 7
Hornshaw – 4.5
Vincent – 5.5
Taylor – 5.5
Hallam – 5.5
Turan – 4
Jarvis – 4.5
Loft – 4
McAtee – 4
KVV – 7
Eisa – 5.5
Gilliead – 7
Hippolyte – 4.5
Spence – 7
Beestin – 7
Green – 6
Rowe – 6.5
McGahey – 7
Butroid – 4.5
Disappointing – Butroid, Eisa, McAtee, Bedeau, Turan, Loft, Jarvis, Hippolyte.
Impressed – Beestin, Spence, Clarke, McGahey, Onariase, Rowe, O’Malley.
Gilliead in the main has done well, however he’s been fairly non-existent in the last few games.
Looks like we are seeing things pretty close, S1.
Shows (we probably knew anyway) that Onariase + McGahey = above par. Any other combination = below par!
And that without Kev we don’t have a striker worthy of the name.
The one thing that these stats don’t show is the inconsistency. As Samways1 says, Gilliead can be a match winner on game and anonymous the next. The same can be said of Eisa and to a lesser extent the CMFs.
With those four blowing hot and cold and a donkey up front goals are always going to be hard to come by.
