Some one on tuther side asked at the club shop when they go on sale and was told Thursday the 25th, i do hope we’ve moved on from the Don Rowing years.
April 15, 2024 at 7:39 pm #284023I’d say it’s because Michelle Harness is charge and can’t get bothered, unlike Dave who’d have had them on sale weeks ago, cash only though
April 15, 2024 at 8:04 pm #284025it would be a best to pre sale tickets n leave the opponent name blank surely .. it aint rocket science. open upthe away end and give away supporters another section, the bannered area ? to put pressure on their keeper both halves .. lets be reet how many withh Alfreton ,Curzon or SMT SS
bring >>April 15, 2024 at 8:12 pm #284028National League rules, not allowed to go on sale until opponent is known. Not that difficult to comprehend.

Indeed BLT .. rules are rules ..
honouring your name i shall now be having big BTL breakfast in the Brick House or Irish Clock pub Udon thani tomorrow …after all we are still celebrating the Sonkhrang water festival Thai New Year here.
April 15, 2024 at 10:01 pm #284032So that’s two days to sell tickets? Assume it will be pay on the day as well
April 16, 2024 at 9:23 am #284043Vanarama league rules don’t say that the opponent must be known, North and South playoff rules page 74-76 easy to find, i was wrong when i said the revenue from gate receipts were 25% to each club it is 50% each after costs incurred from both clubs, the final I don’t understand who gets what(can someone else have a look and explain please) clubs not allowed to alter normal prices and limited to 30 complimentary tickets in the semi and 50 in the final.
April 16, 2024 at 11:07 am #284047Am not able to get to the AA for either game. (Note the optimism.)
Televised on TNT, I believe.
Will it still be on Vanarama as normal? Anyone in the know?April 16, 2024 at 12:11 pm #284049I read those rules, not an easy read.
It seems to me the National League have set a percentage, they describe as “a levy”, which they will take from the net proceeds of the game after all expenses for both clubs (and including the travel and hotel costs for National League board members and officers who attend the match). The remaining proceeds are split 50% each to the 2 clubs.
I can’t find out what amount the levy is but it was agreed prior to the start of the season.
Should be a good earner for the league if it is (as we hope !) at Scunthorpe.April 16, 2024 at 12:27 pm #284052I read those rules, not an easy read.

April 16, 2024 at 1:02 pm #284053Les – I’m sure I read yesterday that they will also be on NLTV

April 16, 2024 at 1:09 pm #284055James Moody has said via Twitter (X) that SUFC asked the NL for reconsideration of the date that Play Off semi-final tickets could go on sale – but this was denied by the NL.
So the on sale date remains the Thursday before the Saturday, ie just two days prior. Absolutely ridiculous, imho.
April 16, 2024 at 1:37 pm #284057Some of those creating a fuss are still smarting about their hero being a wrong un and looking to deflect
April 16, 2024 at 2:18 pm #284059There’s still no rule in there that says you can’t sell the tickets once the season as ended (which it hasn’t yet) I’m sure TJO would confirm.
So come Sunday/Monday I expect they will be on sale.April 16, 2024 at 2:41 pm #284060I think you’re correct Awaywego, there’s nothing in the rules preventing it unless there’s something in the National League Handbook which gets referenced in the rules but I can’t find it online. I reckon they could start selling after Saturday.
I guess the thing is at the moment, as it stands, if Brackley win their last game and we lose at Gloucester and the goal difference is overtaken then we would finish third. Obviously highly unlikely but I can see why the season has to end officially before tickets can be sold.1 user thanked author for this post.

It’s unusual but realistically what difference does it make to you? Do you really think it’ll sell out?

This is right and proper, and upholds the integrity of the competition.
April 16, 2024 at 3:10 pm #284063Chester last season started selling their semi tickets on the 26th of April a full 12 days before the match was played on the 7th. 5/6th 4/7th played on the 3/4th of May. So no reason for us not to start selling as soon as the game finishes on Saturday surely we can all agree on that.

Agreed. Insisting on leaving it until the Thursday seems, to me, to be wilfully putting strain on the club’s resources.
April 16, 2024 at 3:36 pm #284065I still don’t really see what the issue is here, it’s not going to be a sell out so why not just make it pay on the gate?

April 16, 2024 at 3:55 pm #284067There’s no issue unless the club are playing silly buggers like I said in the OP. The club have always done it and never seems to improves that I can see whoever is in charge.
Now one could argue that the guy on tuther side was telling porkies but then Apollo says James Moody had tweeted about it so I tend to believe Scunny have said it,so one wonder’s why.April 16, 2024 at 4:02 pm #284068I’m sure you know what you mean.

If anyone else came out with that you’d be saying it supports your claim that we have the worst set of supporters in the country.

April 16, 2024 at 5:51 pm #284074Ridiculous decision by the authorities. 3 days to sell tickets for one of the biggest games of the year isn’t fair on supporters nor the club.
April 16, 2024 at 6:53 pm #284076That’s if you believe the National league have said that Cliff, read the rules for this season look at what happened last season and make your own mind up.
When we rocked up at Tamworth the Scunthorpe football liaison officer came up to talk we asked why the Scarborough game was a 1 o’clock kick off and contrary to what Scunthorpe had said it was on police advice he insisted it wasn’t, then you see the Farsley game for the same reason and yet the Boston and Tamworth and Chester games weren’t changed when they were far bigger games than those that were moved,so I’m sceptical on what James Moody has said.
The least James should say is a reason why the National league have moved the goalposts.April 16, 2024 at 7:38 pm #284078Why don’t you ring up and ask him,you are prepared to give the benefit of the doubt to racists and trouble causing thugs, see your recent thread, and con men.Why is it so hard to believe the current regime other than them showing you up for supporting an idiot so much you cried off to the other side.
There’s no reason for the club not to do it other than the reason stated above, why in heavens name would they create a rush situation for their staff?1 user thanked author for this post.
April 16, 2024 at 8:25 pm #284081Being told often enough the club don’t answer emails and the like, have things changed 64,and I Only view tuther side.
Thought i was clear enough on my last post of why im sceptical don’t forget the Scarborough game was under Hiltons tenure so it’s not just about an owner but more of the current regime were the same regime.
What rush? most will buy online.
The only reason I can come up with in delaying, are they waiting to see if Curzon get through to then put them in the corner and then having support from all 4 sides for us they would be probably the only team that wouldn’t need the away end, who knows like i say why move the Farsley game it caused issues for many fans I know my wife wasn’t impressed.April 16, 2024 at 8:42 pm #284082Can you answer a question now 64 why did the wrong un the idiot and con man ever join our club, what was his motive.
April 16, 2024 at 9:15 pm #284085not a clue about motives, why would I have ? I’ll leave the speculation to people who don’t mind getting sued.
