The late Mel Blyth was outstanding in defence.

Possible managers ? Well the Barrow manager has done a great job, so has the Halifax man.

Could you be fair to us all SNOT and tell us when something is wishful thinking and when you actually know something is true. I’ll trawl anywhere if I think you or others have said something in a post and then say something else.
So let’s have it right you know who’s doing the recruiting (and we’ll be impressed by) but you don’t know if we’re getting a new manager. Unbelievable! In more ways than one.

Crozzer is a legend … and available

Watched the Iron since 1964 and Crozzer is one of the best centre backs I ever saw pull on an Iron shirt, watching him lead out the team with that broken nose and contemptuous look on his face was enough to scare me never mind the opposition. What a great leader and motivator he was for us.

I find it hard to see how he broke his nose when he’d go down holding his face with a miss,so hard the wind broke his nose?

I spent ages considering Chris Hope. Matt Elliott was certainly a class act too.

Mel Blyth, Chris Hope, Matt Elliott …. I also have really fond memories of Steve Lister.
