Nice for swanny to keep us updated on his thoughts going forward.
November 13, 2020 at 11:25 am #197416Plenty to welcome in there but the proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
November 13, 2020 at 11:58 am #197417I thought we were going backwards not forwards.
November 13, 2020 at 12:19 pm #197418The proposal of fans representation at boardroom meetings is a start; the key is appointing someone with the understanding of what the majority of fans are feeling and the confidence to challenge Swann.
The rest of the statement was just bluster and didn’t address the root cause of this shambolic start-the scatter gun transfer policy
November 13, 2020 at 12:57 pm #197420When I saw the title I thought he was going to tell us how much it had cost to dismiss each manager.
November 13, 2020 at 2:11 pm #197421Sorry, but this is just more waffle and empty promises. Why has the club just “started looking at a strategy”? Why have we not had supporter representation before?
Oh, and I see the ground rebuild is still on the menu! How about a team rebuild first?
Covid has affected every club in every league. Why does he think SUFC suffering worse than others?
As for the U23 comments – here’s an idea for the dark nights ahead. Write down the whole of our squad and sort out who is in the first team and who is in the U23s. Bet it’s harder than you think, and I bet you come up with a different list to me.
As stated above, we are not going forwards, we’re going backwards and have been since long before relegation, wage caps and coronavirus.
Nice of PS to put out an update but until we start seeing some evidence of “perseverance” on the pitch I won’t be reading too much into it.
November 13, 2020 at 3:21 pm #197424Covid has affected us because we have had players out with covid, whereas others have probably had it but just played on.
November 13, 2020 at 6:19 pm #197428And there’s me thinking apart from the Exeter game all the other games that were severely impacted by Covid were postponed. So what about the other 12 games this season where we were in pretty much the exact same position as every other club in the football league?
November 13, 2020 at 6:51 pm #197429Am i the only one here thinking these are the foundations he is laying for him and his family to leave the club? Looking to write off the money he’s owed?? That way he leaves us in the shit on the field but off it in quite a strong position financially.or am i thinking to deep into it lol.

Yeah I’ll go with that, sounds quite believable actually, maybe Rob and his verbal truth cut him too deep.
November 13, 2020 at 7:24 pm #197432I thought that Razor, I wonder if this is done if we go down. This way with Swann writing off his loans to the club, financially he’s unattached so he can run off into the sunset.
This seems a bit suspect as it’s a distinct possibility we may end up being relegated.
No mention of a club scout being signed to allow an actual football man identify the players we need.
If he’s still going to poke his nose in and have this daft committee, whoever is alongside him, then it doesn’t matter what he says. The root cause will still be eating away at the club.
November 13, 2020 at 7:39 pm #197433And no praise or thanks for writing off these loans then?
November 13, 2020 at 9:47 pm #197438When he left Gainsborough Trinity he did leave them debt free and he said he would do the same to The Iron if/when he left.Let`s hope that this is one of those rare occasions when what he says and what he does are one and the same.
November 13, 2020 at 11:14 pm #197440Awaywego—-rting off the £10 million is just a pipe dream, whereas being bottom of LeagueTwo is reality, the only similarity between the both of them is rhat the financial side of things and the possibility of climbing the league are both unlikely to happen.
And thanks only surface when there is something concrete to thank someone for, not a might happen.

Not often I agree with BS but I’m with him on this one.
The last five years have been a “might happen”!
November 14, 2020 at 10:49 am #197448Bloody hope there is,for our sakes, apparently Mr Sean was on hullerside last night with barensy and the other swan, anybody hear it?
November 14, 2020 at 10:50 am #197449Whos Mr Sean? Swann
November 14, 2020 at 11:37 am #197452The other Swan asked if they could speak to Mrs Swann as “she makes all the decisions”
