I noticed we have a past manager watch thread and i received a couple of notifications regarding past players so thought i would have a rummage around and check up on how recent players we let go are getting on.

First thing i read was from a Gateshead vlogger quite simply saying its worth the admission fee just to watch Butterfield.

Danny Elliot scoring freely for Macc town .

Also an editorial vis the Oldham times on Reagan Ogle and his lethal weapon long throw (i cant recall how mch we used that ) and also him playing in different positions other than right back.

I know there are obviously many more that have moved on over the years , some succeed some fail we can all name them its just IMO in our current depressing situation this very recent group are sorely missed.

Maybe a clear out of all the Hilton era signings and a fresh start is needed , i aint no manager but it does look like some are just going through the motions until their contract ends and thats no good to anyone.
I am also of the opinion there could well possibly be some sort of unrest within the staff as mentioned on another thread.

I have always pushed our home grown but for whatever reason they are dumped first. But when you look at we replaced them with we did not improve the quality in those positions.

One released a couple of seasons ago – the reason he was given for his release “You have been here too long” ! In recent times, Tom Pugh – his various replacements have not done the job he was frequently asked to do. At least he cared.

Caring’s not enough, if it was I’d be playing and I’m rubbish. (Sunday league Div.6 and that was my peak.)
