Just signed for Stockport county! thought he was better then that even at 31 and would have loved to see him back at scunny.
Gone to a bigger club!
What a strange move! Still banging them in at League 1 level. Must be the lure of a 3 year deal.
Haven’t they got ambitious backers pumping money in? Could that possibly be a factor, surely not!
Wow really going for it hope they achieve promotion, great place to go on the train, certainly a culture shock when visiting it’s like going back to the seventies, both the pubs and the people.
The Royle Family was set in Stockport. ‘Nuff said!
Good luck to him and The Hatters.
He will do a lot better for them than the last ex Iron “superstar” they signed.
Conor Jennings or Mark Hammill?
Suspect they were more pleased with Jeinnings than the other one.
What a load of tripe awaywego. I lived in Stockport for a while. The pubs and the people are barely any different from what you’d find in Crosby. If you go nowadays, particularly round the old part of town, the pubs are probably better than Scunny’s.
Anyway, good luck to Paddy. At his age I trust he’s got himself a nice contract in the latter stages of his career.
Loved the pubs in Stockport but they were throwbacks to the seventies loads of small rooms in quite a few of them, as for locals I prefer the women to wear ankle brackets and not the men.
Which pubs did you go in? The ones near the ground in Edgeley? Granted some are rough. The layouts are a lot to do with their age.
Wetherspoons in town till the others opened up,then moved to them nearer the ground, proper pubs not the plastic ones we have in Scunthorpe the nearest we’ve got to a proper pub is Honest Lawer but we all know it’s plastic.
