Rallying call from Simon on his Radio Humberside interview. Pack the Park!
I do hope all those who stayed away because of Ernest will return to support the club and team now it has been seized back from its tyranny.
Up the Iron.

December 2, 2022 at 4:37 pm #249792Once the takeover is complete it could be a good idea to drop prices down to a fiver and get as many in as we can for one game. Possibly Maidenhead on the 7th Jan?
December 2, 2022 at 10:05 pm #249832I wonder if we will now be able to get a Chief Scout who knows something about football.
LT for Chief Scout?December 3, 2022 at 12:06 pm #249851Very busy in the GP area, is it returning Iron fans? Magpies or Xmas shoppers at M&S?
Probably a combination of all 3.

December 3, 2022 at 4:50 pm #249867So 2800 home fans , didn’t exactly pack the park after all then. Baby steps I’m guessing rather then renewed vigour and bigger crowds returning straight away. It’s going to be a long road but the overall feeling of optimism is burning brightly and the recovery has started with new owners, we have to give them time and respect to turn things round.
December 3, 2022 at 4:58 pm #249868Where’s the 1000 who’d be returning with new owners? Was your seat still available BS?
December 3, 2022 at 5:25 pm #249877Don’t think the early ko helps, why only 1400 away fans from a big city just 60 miles away with a good side sitting second in the league and looking to go top? Doesn’t add up to me, I’m guessing Humberside police suggested the ko time, probably cost us between 600 to 800 extra fans compared to a 3pm start IMO. I’d have been there if the ko had been the usual time, I’m guessing a lot more from both sides would have been too.
December 3, 2022 at 6:01 pm #249880Awaywego when we get new owners i suspect that there could well be 1000 who return. The potential new owners in their interview with radio Humberside today said that they would not be sitting in the directors`box as it would show a lack of respect to the current owners.Your comments are a little premature.
December 3, 2022 at 6:10 pm #249881Lol, just ‘premature’?

Notts sold out their allocation.
December 3, 2022 at 6:32 pm #249884It was more than 1400 from notts in my opinion. Doesn’t that away end hold minimum 1600 ? It was definitely full. 2500 Scunny fans I would say. I was expecting more I must admit, but definitely a much better atmosphere, well until about 1.15pm anyway !
December 3, 2022 at 6:49 pm #249886Would’ve been below 4K without the announcement. If we can get back to 3k+ home crowds regularly then that’s a start, no easy task with such a diabolical football team.

December 3, 2022 at 6:56 pm #249887Swann gone is great but a squad with players who are any good and actually give a sh*t is a pressing priority. GK 2 CB’s 2DM’s 2AM’s a striker some wingers the list is long

December 3, 2022 at 7:05 pm #249888It’ll take time for the masses to return.
Firstly the takeover isn’t fully complete yet and not many people trust Swann to do the right thing so it’s understandable a few are not ready to fully commit.
Secondly the damage done to this club runs so so deep!! Simon and Ian have a mountain to climb… the team today looked amateur, we have very little in the way of quality!
We are desperately in need of better players.
The 12:30 kick off time wasn’t ideal I agree.
Finally, I think some fans need to take a look in the mirror and ask themselves if screaming and shouting at the players is helping.. personally I think these so called fans are part of the problem! The players are short on confidence and while I agree they are playing badly they’ve all we’ve got right now so get behind them or stay at home and shout at the radio instead.December 3, 2022 at 7:58 pm #249889Yep, always seem to have one right behind me, gobbing off and spraying their germs over anyone in front. If nothing else, respect that no one else gives a flying f how angry you are every 5mins! Just adds to the misery.

Notts sold out their allocation.
Thanks for that, we obviously should have sent them more tickets then.
December 3, 2022 at 8:02 pm #249893The fans get behind them at every game but it does take 2 to tango if they don’t earn their wage fans will let them know and rightly so, so long as they don’t boo them onto the pitch or single certain players out at every game everything else is fair game if they don’t perform, I am more appalled at fans clapping them off having put a shite performance in,for the life of me I can’t understand why.

December 3, 2022 at 8:16 pm #249896New owners, new start, still fans having a go at each other.
December 7, 2022 at 4:43 pm #250122Let’s see what happens
December 7, 2022 at 11:43 pm #250157Where’s the 1000 who’d be returning with new owners? Was your seat still available BS?
Yes away we go pal, my long term season ticket seat of I32 is still available, but the same squad of players were still on centre stage, yes the squad that is bottom of the non-league status, and I have not as yet seen anywhere were the take over has been signed up, rember that we have been issueds with that really big package of lies over the past seven years, and there is time yet for this to again fall through, I really hope not, but the truth has been abcent for such a long time.
When Mr Sharp was interviewed on RH last Saturday, I noticed that he stated about five times that the Stadium was part of the deaL, but never said anything regarding the whole package of car parks and training pitch ect, is this not included in the so called sale????????There is time to return awaywego, but after 70 years following the team, surely you will give me a week or two to get my head round things pal!!!!
December 8, 2022 at 8:54 am #250160Yes BS I’m a bit sceptical re is it the whole package or not re the surrounding land

December 8, 2022 at 9:16 am #250162It was stated in an interview with Simon on Humberside that it ” included all the land “, make of that what you will but it’s right to be cautious IMO. No season ticket for me yet that’s for sure.

December 8, 2022 at 9:25 am #250164Simon has never said that they had agreed a price for the club, stadium and land, but in his initial interview with Andy Comfort he didn’t correct Andy when he suggested the land was included. I think this has caused some confusion.
I also noticed when listening back to the interview with Sharp/Elliott before the Notts County game, Sharp made it clear that they have agreed a price for the stadium, but didn’t go as far as saying they had agreed a price for the club. I guess they will negotiate a price for the club dependent on the findings of the due diligence.
Re: the land, I know they have been looking into possibility of purchasing it with the help of other investors but not sure where they are with it.
I reckon there’s a long way to go yet…

December 8, 2022 at 11:54 am #250170It is my understanding that any deal when completed will be for the whole lot.
December 8, 2022 at 12:00 pm #250174What does it matter to the likes of us whether the surrounding land is included, they’ve got the ground don’t give 2 hoots about the club at the moment other than the name nothing worth purchasing that I can see.
December 8, 2022 at 12:08 pm #2501761) So you can decide what goes there in the future.
2) Could be integral to any future ground development plans.
3) More importantly it gets rid of Ernest 100%.

December 8, 2022 at 12:26 pm #2501771) It really is nothing to do with us. 2) ground far to big for us and probably wouldn’t happen in my lifetime anyway. 3) So long as Ernest
1) I will never have a say in what goes there in the future the land is not mine.2) Can’t see any development in the ground in my lifetime read the book seen the film so don’t care.3) Ernest, Ernest who!?
