Best wishes to him, needed to go to a league club so he can get that level of coaching and competition this needed to progress.

I hope we’ve got a nice big fat juicy sell on clause in the contract.

Never saw a great deal of potential in Foster myself.
Would be surprised if he ever made another football league appearance.

Blimey, that’s some prediction! If he’s off to Hull there’s a good chance he’ll go out on loan to a league club at some point?

I think Owen could go on and have a very good career in the game professionally, I saw a lot of potential in him when he played for us, naive at times yes because of his age but ability wise he looked very good at times.

I recall the same being said about Sam Johnstone.

That was a fair assessment based on what we saw here IMO.

Lad will be a 1st year pro in season 2023-24.

They may leave him with us on loan for the season. They pay his wages to fund his development whilst starting each week for us?

And we pay Chapman and Fitzsimons to sit on the bench or in the stand every week?

I really rate him and think he will do well, when you consider the shite team he’s played all his first team games behind he’s even better.
If Hull do send him out on loan let’s hope it’s a league above NLN, don’t want him turning up at a rival….

I really don’t understand Scunthorpe supporters obsession with blaming goalkeepers for everything, the very best goalkeepers in the world make mistakes yet you expect every keeper we have to deal with every cross into the box, control his defence, kick with both feet and pass more accurately than Glen Hoddle, and save every shot on goal!!! Well guess what, any keeper that can do all that would not be plying his trade in the lower leagues of English football.

Also bear in mind before the ball gets anywhere near the goalkeeper it has to get past 10 outfield players first, a fact most of you fail to understand.

Owen is still a baby in goalkeeping terms So he is nowhere near his full potential yet, he is a very level headed young man who family keep his feet on the ground so he will not get beyond himself.

If it is Hull city then that would be his dream at this stage of his career but wherever it is good luck to him and I hope he one day gets to the highest level.
