If you want the ground buzzing again and the turnstiles really moving then you need to do the following…
(1)Sign some really good players… in particular pacey/tricky wingers and goal scoring strikers!!
(2)Get a team playing exciting/attacking football
(3)Get the match day experience something people want to be a part of… where are the food trucks and entertainment?? Why is the catering still so s**te??
(4)Engage (genuinely) with the community and get everyone involved
(5)DO WHAT YOU SAY YOU WILL DO!!!It’s not rocket science

March 19, 2022 at 9:46 pm #233913… a spade in the ground for even one new stand would reassure me that we have a future.

March 20, 2022 at 9:34 am #233928I admire the sentiment but we all know how this is going to pan out and have done for sometime. NI nailed it.
Scunthorpe United RIP

Couldn’t give less of a fig about renovating GP, it’s fine, apart from some fresh paint, a new scoreboard and maybe an Iron Bar extension, it doesn’t need much doing to it. Instead, we need to be looking at our youth system, which will support the club in future seasons, getting things right on the pitch and getting people through the turnstiles.

How about a protest march on Easter Monday at 14:00. Coffin draped in claret and blue. Pall bearers and wreath, the full monty. March from OSG site to the clubs graveyard at the Sunken Sands.
Those that can still stomach going to the match watch in silence (that bit is easy these days). Wont affect the team as we will be relegated by the anyway.
Are we prepared to watch this happening without a word of protest?

I don’t know how true it is but I heard they couldn’t get new parts to repair it

March 23, 2022 at 9:34 pm #234135Re the scoreboard, that’s what he said at the shareholders meeting Mick (& Daz). They said it was obsolete and couldn’t get the parts.
March 23, 2022 at 10:09 pm #234136“It’s knackered mate! Can’t get the parts you see!”
March 24, 2022 at 9:06 am #234146Is that the scoreboard or the team you’re talking about?
March 24, 2022 at 9:23 am #234148Not the team ‘tash!
That’s overrun with spare parts.
