I expect Guardiola to tell us Fulham are “a good side, who made things difficult for us” on MOTD tonight.

They all do the public “respect” thing!

You heard that sort of thing being said about us after a game this season? I haven’t.

The whole feel of the game changed for the better when Spence came on, today.

Could have condemned Spence to the wastelands with that comment !

442 works even Mr Cox and the Master Commander realise that, so to ensure continuity we opt for the ‘diamond’ option !!

The gates will not be good when the fans are allowed back in but the decision makers seem quite happy in preparing for a decline. But they know it all.

Absolutely San Fran, as much as I support my team I won’t be going back to watch negative tactics and boring football, yesterday was pathetic defending a one goal lead after less than 15 mins. Apart from at Harrogate Cox never seems to want to go for the jugular and bag a few goals, he’s very much like Wilcox.Tuesdays game was even worse.
Please PS tell him to pull his finger out and start to play attacking exciting football otherwise your going to have a lot of unsold pies when you open the Sands Siro.

I think we had a good go second half yesterday it’s just a shame we sat back immediately after scoring. If we’d started the first half like we did the 2nd and carried it through we would’ve beaten a fairly poor team comfortably in my opinion.

We can do it we just need to get rid of the fear. We’re not going to get relegated so have a go and go take some risks.

Big problem we are going to have with flat 442 going forward is that 3 of our best players are cm’s. If the full backs get forward I don’t have a problem with the diamond as long as the correct 4 are in it. Gillead at the point behind Kev and Loft. Spence and Beestin doing the work and Karacan cleaning up at the base with Rowe and O’Malley going forward. Could work very well.

Whilst it’s never a good idea to underestimate any opponent there is serious danger in overestimating their ability, which Cox does every time. Certainly needs to consider some attacking intent before fans are allowed back, not as if we’re short of talented attackers is it. Cut them loose Neil before it’s too late.

    Attacking football?
    What’s that?
We talk attacking football, but that’s usually as far as it goes.

Just seen this from the managers post match interview:-

Cox added: “We’ve had ten penalties against us this year and two sendings off. We’ve been given two penalties and not had anybody sent off against us. I feel as if that aspect has gone against us this season”

That penalty count seems to me to be a fair reflection of the time spent in our penalty area compared to that spent in our opponents.

we have had 3 sent off, Cordner, Hippolyte and Brown, one was in the FA Cup, the last players sent off against us was David Worrell in the league for Port Vale with Matt Lund near the end of the game 16 months ago, and a Blackpool player days later in the Micky Mouse Cup, so not balancing themselves out are they.

League wise Mick it’ll be even longer than that for a red card against us during the game I think. Didn’t Worrell and Lund get sent off after the final whistle?

If those two incidents had taken place in the PL and VAR had been used, then it would have been a penalty and a sending off.

No such luxury in L2. Although there have been games where it could have worked against us.

I couldn’t remember if it was just before or after the final while Darryn.

Depends what PL teams you are talking about NI, one team very rarely gets a penalty against them but gets loads themselves, same with red cards, very rare for them to get one.

Not the red half of Manchester by any chance? 🤔😂

Looked at the you tube highlights and still unsure about the Kvv one! One thing that makes me say no is the reaction of Kev he doesn’t appear to claim he was fouled but it is only short highlights.

So lets get an early start for the build up for Tuesdays home match against Oldham, we should make about five changes for this game in order to follow our squad rotation system that Mr Cox likes, even though it will weaken our team selection for that game.

The team will be instructed not to take any chances against Oldham, who are a very good team with some cracking forwards, our team will be informed by Mr Cox (with Mussa standing with crossed armes beside him) that although Oldham have only won ONE match in their last Eight games, but will be a big threat to us if we venture out of our own half, so lets play our udsual 5-4-1, and make sure that our goal keeper does not go wondering from his goal line if tempted to to try and cut out any crosses into our goal area.

Sounds sad, but it is very true!!!!!

Watched the after match vedeo five times, and that is 100% NOT A PENALTY OF KEVS, there was no contact whatsoever, he did stumble as he slipped when attempting to get to the loose ball, but the ref was 100% correct!!!, and I still say that he had a good game.

Wouldn’t be surprised if our manager brought out what the most popular boot colour was for those who have scored against us !!

There is contact with his calf when you slow the video down and he is now struggling with a dead calf, so it will be interesting if he makes it tomorrow.

All that the photo does for me is to see yheir guy falling, nothing else can be deducted from it, and I am sure that the ref did not have a slow motion shot of it.

As for making it for tomorrow Matt, it depends if his name is pulled out of the drum draw machine which Cox uses for picking his match day team.

Defiatley no penalty, just wishfull thinking.
