He should start something, maybe he could call it the iron trust or something like that?
This will now put a spotlight on Winterton Iron(decent people),a bit naughty I reckon1 user thanked author for this post.
December 28, 2023 at 11:57 am #278492Not for me.
December 28, 2023 at 12:10 pm #278493Not naughty or the idea not for you?
December 28, 2023 at 12:18 pm #278494I managed 30 seconds of listening to the bumbling attention seeking idiot.
I thought he might’ve disappeared up his own backside when he finally realised that Hilton wasn’t worthy of his vomit inducing unrelenting admiration.December 28, 2023 at 12:30 pm #278495Or he could be just a very keen fan trying to help in some way.
Don’t just take a cheap shot at a trier, it might prove to be misguided but give him a chance.8 users thanked author for this post.
December 28, 2023 at 12:31 pm #278496I think he’s ok, that said he shouldn’t given free reign. He also didn’t need abuse.
He did take part in demonising Iron fans though and Im not sure he has apologised .1 user thanked author for this post.
December 28, 2023 at 1:43 pm #278500The optimal group size for decision making is 7(+/−2) members.
Slightly larger gatherings may be thought to be more representative?
JC had a ‘committee’ of 12 – his being the 13th voice.
Always have an odd number.
Nothing worse than ‘no decision’.
You can only get the begging bowl out so many times.
Scunthorpe has a small population and doesn’t even have the pull of a Leeds United… lest alone a Manchester United.
How do you get businesses to throw money at sponsorship… what returns do they see? We ain’t a high profile club!
Better to flip it on its head and eliminate waste first.
It’s said that Rodwell was on £250k a year when he was there. Wasn’t Mayo on about £150k a year too?
I wonder what Wallace’s annual salary was. £100k?That’s a lot of money for little old Scunthorpe United.
Trim the squad, trim the playing wages, no agents fees, fewer stop overs, less salubrious hotels, less salubrious bus, fewer complimentary tickets, bin the third kit (how many do we sell a year?), online only shop, would we get larger crowds playing Friday night / Sunday lunch times? Less competition.
December 28, 2023 at 2:31 pm #278504Can’t fault him for trying new things, sometimes people need steering in the right direction rather than the brakes putting on.
I’ve seen previously he’s put his hands up with regards to Hilton, not sure there was an apology to fans though. There were people in that Facebook group who should be further up in the que when it comes to apologies though; namely the admin who allowed that group to descend into a toxic cesspit whilst instigating pile ons towards the people within this forum.

He thinks he’s better than WI, who are a great bunch of lads and go over and above to support SUFC, because he’s got a few youtube followers.
Not surprising given his background.
It’s all very MKesque, please, please, look at me.
December 28, 2023 at 4:02 pm #278510Yeah, I recall 1500 Club getting a lot of stick. Did everyone apologise to him? I suspect not.
December 28, 2023 at 9:22 pm #278511Stuart’s heart is in the right place even if he’s a little misguided in his thinking sometimes , he’s a 100% committed Iron fan and he deserves respect for that not just ridicule or abuse about some of his fund raising ideas even if they are a little out. If he does get a meeting with Michelle I’m sure she will steer him in the right direction or maybe even include him in something new the club may be coming up with themselves for making money. He’s admitted he was wrong about Hilton, as a lot of us were and as for apologising here there and everywhere, well maybe people should just be big enough to move on and not carry chips on their shoulders. The club moving forward with a lot of positivity all round from everyone is what really matters IMO.

December 29, 2023 at 1:57 am #278512There is no doubting Stuarts dedication and love for SUFC and he seems like a real nice fella i just feel there is only so much Scunthorpe locals and fans can afford and the club itself seems to have many ideas without forming a new separate committee …as earlier commented maybe Michelle can incorporate Stuart and his ideas somehow within the current set up.

January 8, 2024 at 11:41 am #278951North Lincs Council issued 77,236 Council tax bills last year.
I’ve never had the pleasure (if you’d call it that) of using the services of the fire brigade.
Another hardly used facility these days; libraries are there for people to use should they so wish. You can even use the recreational parks or visit a museum too etc.How about adding £40 per council tax bill to help finance a community asset? That would generate £3,089,440 per year.
Just like the library, it’s (SUFC) there if you want to use it.
Forty quid is nowt – half a tank of petrol… who’d miss that over a year?
77p per week to keep the club alive.
A grab bag of crisps currently retail for 100p in Tesco.Brown bin day… I don’t generate any garden waste. Can you divert my brown bin fee to SUFC please?
