Unlikely, we’ve now got ourselves a team that needs to score 4 to win.

Will probably need a good centre back and an experienced keeper to achieve it, minimum requirements.

We have a spoiler in Pugh, he’s limited but he does break up play pretty well but with this system he simply doesn’t fit in. In my opinion we need to subtract a defender and add Pugh in midfield as the spoiler, least he’ll be able to offer some kind of resistance.

Nthle can go LB, Ogle RB and fingers crossed Boyce is ok and he’ll go with Taft but I don’t really rate him or Dewhurst but it’s the best we’ve got.

We need somebody in midfield who can break up play though. That’s a certainty.

Isn’t that Whitehouse’s game? No point playing Pugh as a ball winner, if he wins it he’ll just give it straight back.

Should have said that IMO Gallimore is better than Pugh.

Whitehouse doesn’t get around the pitch that well and has suffered a lot of injuries of late. Not sure he has the kind of mobility we’re going to need.

Didn’t Pugh top the tackles chart in league 2 for a while ?. I don’t really rate him that high but he get’s around the pitch well and likes a tackle ” A tackle as in a footballing tackle, not a man sausage ”

Shite at passing but does the ugly side well. Gallimore is talented and will probably become the better player but I’d go for Pugh for now if we did decide to play a midfield spoiler.

Nothing wrong with his passing, as I have said before we could have a young Glenn Hoddle in midfield but he cant pass the ball if there is nobody to pass to.

Would prefer to see Whitehouse given more time in the role, not sure if he’s injured but he seems to have dropped off the radar

Yet another new signing who doesn’t really seem to have a defined role, how often does this seem to happen?

When you burn through managers like we do, quite often.

It’s a good point but I’m not sure it’s just about changing managers. I remember even as far back as Mark Robbins that we would bring players in during one window and then replace them the following one.
