I recall getting mildly excited the last time we won there.

Didn’t go too well after that though, did it?

Won on our last 4 visits according to IronStats. Never won away anywhere 5 times in a row.

There’s a first time for everything boys.

We clearly need to warm up better … or something …. but the comeback is looking good. First away win on the cards?

Can’t keep continuing to ship the amount of goals we do and expect to keep gaining points. Injuries and poor form will catch us up and we are back to losing every week. Have to start winning games.

Great effort from over 400 that travelled tonight too.

Ref sounded poor again regarding fouls not given and players clattered, the radio commentators were making a point about the poor standard of refereeing in this division, no doubt people who were there will have a view on that.

I would have took a draw but again we get in front and go on all out defence like at Altrincham and home to Solihull, and again we gave points away whether a soft penalty or not.

Im in two minds what to make about that to be honest. We were clearly the better team in the first half, I can’t recall them having any worthwhile effort after their initial goal for the remainder of the first half but I can’t help but think we were a bit too passive in the 2nd half, we stopped pressing high up the pitch and seemed to gift them too much possession and territory. Could it have been the after effects of the long trip to Torquay a few days beforehand or are we just that anxious / nervous about having a lead – have we genuinely forgotten how to win away? I don’t exactly subscribe to Daws’ assessment that we played well in the second half. On a plus side Beestin looked more like the player pre covid, a point gained maybe but probably could have / should have been 3 points.

For me with the attacking options and quality we have we will score goals. Keeping them out tho is a different matter…

When we get the ball down and press we look a decent side. I do think we just ran out of stream in the end. Apter going off really didn’t help the cause either

Scunny always seem to ship in a far post goal from a ball centred into their area, tonight saw another one!!, surely the manager must point this out and inform the defenders of this costly issue.

That assumes the manager knows what he’s doing.
History says our last five or six didn’t/don’t.

Just seen the highlights, what a soft pen, fell over and ref fell for it but anyhow that’s footy I guess. Nuttall proving more than useful, took his goal well and good work helping set up the second, looks like his hassling up front is paying off now.

Must have been great for Nuttall to score against the team that just tried to buy him.

That assumes the manager knows what he’s doing.

The manager doesn’t even know if he IS the manager or not. Nor how long he’s in the job.

    Another Swann-made mess!
