March 10, 2022 at 1:35 pm #233263Bring an end to all foreign owners. Take it your happy with the murderous Newcastle owners Mick, now they have a f ING good laugh beheading and crucifying, remind us of what man utd owners have done.
March 10, 2022 at 1:46 pm #233264All the owners of Man United have done is badly mismanaged the football side of the business whilst creaming off the profits. Oh and without ever using a dollar of their own money.
Pretty wholesome as owners of Premier League clubs go.

March 10, 2022 at 1:55 pm #233266Have they murdered anyone?
March 10, 2022 at 1:59 pm #233267Has the Chelsea owner murdered anyone
March 10, 2022 at 2:04 pm #233268Probably not directly Mick.
March 10, 2022 at 2:05 pm #233269Isn’t that the intention of running a business, making a profit to use as you see fit. Oh for someone to come into scunny and do the same,
March 10, 2022 at 2:31 pm #233270Probably not directly Mick.
No but Newcastle owners have and LFC supporters have,

March 10, 2022 at 3:00 pm #233271This has come far too late, he should never have been allowed to buy Chelsea in the first place. A read on how he gained his wealth is particularly eye-opening.

Not directly, but is closely linked to those currently inflicting war crimes in Ukraine. :-)

I couldn’t care less if the owner is foreign. I do care if they’re members of a human rights abusing state looking to use football to whitewash this. :-) Chelsea, Man City, Newcastle and PSG are all like this and football has turned a blind eye for greed for too long. :-)
March 10, 2022 at 3:43 pm #233275Linked doesn’t mean they have killed anybody, also has the Newcastle owners personally killed anybody

How many people do you think Hitler & Stalin killed with the bear hands? Just because they didn’t pull the trigger doesn’t mean that their reputations are spotless!

I guess that Chelsea’s owners support ok then. :-) I don’t think it’s a good argument to say that it’s ok for owners to directly support mass murder, so long as they don’t do it themselves.
” also has the Newcastle owners personally killed anybody”
Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, which is directly linked to the regime, own 80% of the club. That regime have most definitely been linked to ordering deaths. :-)

March 10, 2022 at 4:03 pm #233278Is it fact then that the Newcastle owners have ordered people to be killed personally, or just because they are associated to people who have, or responsible, I don’t know but if they I doubt they would be allowed to run a football club in the UK
March 10, 2022 at 4:15 pm #233279The Saudi PIF have been highly linked with funding the murder of Jamal Khashoggi. :-)
And why is direct link to murder the only suitable barrier for ownership? I wouldn’t be happy if Scunthorpe Utd was bought buy people linked to an organisation or country heavily linked with atrocities. :-)

I think you will find that virtue signalling footballers are very much on top of their politics.
Until it comes to their salaries, of course😉😉March 10, 2022 at 5:16 pm #233283March 10, 2022 at 6:59 pm #233290As soon as the Premier League was formed back in the nineties it was all about money and how much the big league could make be it through tv deals, big sponsorship, marketing etc etc. It was only a matter of time when billionaires would see the potential the Premier League was providing to make more money, possibly even launder dirty money in the process, that made owning one of the more desirable clubs attractive. The game has only itself to blame for allowing these people into our game ( our game, the people’s game ) in the first place. The game went down the greedy bastards route and now we wring our hands in despair because of the tarnished reputation these owners have brought to our national sport through their dodgy reputations.
The game has got what it deserved.March 10, 2022 at 7:19 pm #233295Evidently Abramovich was prepared to murder turning up at Birmingham city with armed body guards,Though the propoganda coming from Mick Mist Putin would say otherwise because it wouldn’t have been Abramovich pulling the trigger.
March 10, 2022 at 7:39 pm #233298Makes you glad that we have an owner like Swannsky.

If you remove the letter “s” you have a more appropriate title I believe.

Never ceases to amaze me how far Liverpool fans will go to have a pop at Manchester United, Chelsea owner gets sanctioned and they still find away to bring United into it. The obsession is getting a bit silly now.
March 11, 2022 at 8:33 am #233302Pat you are a million miles away if you think I support Liverpool, though I have nothing against them.
March 11, 2022 at 11:34 am #233304You should have plenty against them Heysel and Hillsborough ring a bell Mick.
March 11, 2022 at 12:02 pm #233306I am going by present terms and football related not idiotic fans, I’ve never been to Anfield or Old Trafford and have no desire to go to either.
March 11, 2022 at 12:08 pm #233307Getting back to Chelsea I do hope the tax payer is not going to bail them out with the £28 million a month wage bill, time for the premier lge to step up till the end of the season then liquidate them.
March 11, 2022 at 1:08 pm #233309Can’t see that happening, it’s totally unfair on the fans but I wish the bloody war was over and we can get back to something like normal and countries rally round to help Ukraine in what seems a pointless attack from Russia to me
