Iron Bru › Forums › Blast Furnace › Oh dear MR Pawn
Mr Pawn is challeging the Asset of Community Value placed on the ground by North Lincolnshire Council.
An ACV gives Community groups the knowledge that an asset is up for sale and gives those Community groups time to raise the funds to buy the facility.
Why would Ernest challenge this when he has said that the ground would be protected for 999 years (which has already reduced to 99 years)?
Give back the ground Ernest Pawn and go.
Surely this cannot be true as our open and honest chairman would have mentioned it in his response to criticism of him selling the clubs assets to his own company.
It’s a desperately bad situation the rift between fans and their respective club boards, it’s being seen up and down the land from the smallest league clubs to the biggest Premiership clubs. Greed, power and lack of collect responsibility for our clubs and football pyramid is so disheartening to see. Is this the direction our national game is heading in? FFS how very sad. 😞
If this can be verified then Mike White needs to be questioning the motives direct with him on the radio.
Presumably would devalue his asset hence the resistance, moving further away from any interest in the club.
At the meeting with fan groups Pawn confirmed he was challenging the ACV.
Apparently the basis for his challenge is that the Iron Trust did not ask his permission to place the ACV on the clubs (then) only asset.
Or………..wait for it……………. “He would have agreed it!”
Aye.
Right.
Shouldn’t it be Prawn 🤔 anyhow whatever, after so much bullshit over so many years should we be surprised by his response to the AVC?
Pawn, otherwise the anagram doesn’t work!
As someone much smarter than I once said “Trickery and treachery are the practices of fools that have not wits enough to be honest.”
Seems quite apt when I think about the current owners…
More faces than goole town clock!!

If that is true, it would be an extraordinary statement.
