I am not a gambler but would be fascinated to know where the odds are going to start.
Top, winning playoffs, relegation?
Those who do like a bet – please keep us informed.June 11, 2023 at 8:18 pm #264310We’ll be amongst the favourites for sure.

Warrington Town (2nd in Northern Premier League Premier Division)June 12, 2023 at 9:24 am #264325Be interesting to see how the bookies price us: sure, we’re a bigger club than most of the division and we’ve made a lot of promising signings but on the flip side we’re unstable off the pitch and have been crap for years, plus we have Jimmy Dean as manager.
I suspect we’ll be one of the favourites for promotion but probably not outright favourites.
June 12, 2023 at 10:50 am #264331I’ll be surprised if we aren’t outright favorites. I wouldn’t put my money on us though.

Agreed.
A lot will depend on how we start; Dean really struggled to turn things around after Notts County last year.
Can’t moan at the signings thus far though, we are putting together a strong side for the level.
June 12, 2023 at 3:11 pm #264348Question is can JD get them organized in the right positions playing pressing flowing football and also be able to adapt tactically when needed.
I really hope he can, twood be great to see him pull it off after all the flak he received for the end of last seasons debacle… when it was obvious he was working with a nail in his boot and players without any interest or pride in their profession.
Hoping Hilton and JD both come good ..
June 12, 2023 at 4:41 pm #264353If he can’t manage Nelson could step right in. I like what he did with us before Dean came in.

Got to be in it to win it, of course…

June 13, 2023 at 9:01 am #264372Yes Cliff all leagues sorted bar one further appeal, Bishop stortford lost theirs, put forward a good defence (other teams more northerly and with better transport links) but the league said it was marginal and stuck with their original decision.

strap on gentelmen for it is about to blowFfs, give it a rest. You’ve been predicting armageddon for weeks yet we are signing players and there is no reason to believe we won’t start the new season at Glanford Park. If your guesses are right and if does go tits up, there’s absolutely nothing me, you or any other supporter can do about it.

IB is definitely overblown but are you really saying there is NO REASON to believe we won’t start the new season at GP?
June 13, 2023 at 5:00 pm #264398Baffling why some are getting so aggravated by a few posters saying things aren’t as rosy in the garden as they seem to expect everyone to believe. What’s wrong with taking it with a big pinch of salt if you’re not interested / buying it but letting people have their say? Starting to sound like a fascist cult.
