I just had a look at a bookmaker’s site to see their odds for League Two next season.

For promotion, we’re down at 10/1 which seems quite generous until you realise that only Sutton, at 12/1, have longer odds than us.

To win the division, we’re down at 50/1, again only Sutton at 66/1 have longer odds.

Whilst I’m not a gambler, I know that the bookies rarely get these things wrong.

Perhaps the chairman is waiting until he has staked enough at 50/1 to cover the £11 million to buy back the ground before unleashing the raft of signings that would win us the league?

The only we will stay up with the present squad we have is if I put money on at the bookies to get relegated, I never win so it would be the only way to save us.
