January 25, 2022 at 9:58 pm #230517Feeney – the journo?
January 25, 2022 at 10:07 pm #230520Yes Liam
January 25, 2022 at 10:12 pm #230524Only three weeks too late, but hey-ho!
January 26, 2022 at 12:44 am #230535Where did you hear they’d signed ?
According to twitter Kenyon, Davis and Millen are all on their way out. I can understand why we signed that young lad from Wolves now, who I may add looks better but still can’t pass.
January 26, 2022 at 8:37 am #230540Both have had medicals
Two more lined up for later in the week too.1 user thanked author for this post.
January 26, 2022 at 8:54 am #230542according to James Moody it was the agent holding up Nuttall but without names said there was hopefully more coming with departures.
January 26, 2022 at 9:49 am #230544Experienced CM and striker just what we need. BUT neither have played this season if Wiki is to be believed, Keith must be confident or desperate.

I’m going with the latter and understandably so!
January 26, 2022 at 10:34 am #230546we certainly are too lightweight all over the pitch, too many small players in both areas and you need a balance of big and muscle because it is no good having pace if the forwards are not winning balls in the air and midfield are getting over run, we need a Bishop or Dawson in midfield, and Nuttall is a big lad and Feeney is a 6 footer, we need to win 10 games to have a realistic chance.
but if we go down we need to see an improvement up to the end of the season or supporters are going to give up, and if we do go down we don’t want the Chairman saying we have the lowest budget in the National League,
January 26, 2022 at 10:55 am #230547It’s a vicious circle, unless recruitment improves. Looks like he’s not prepared to overspend, but if the players aren’t good enough, gates are more likely to decrease. It’s obvious to everyone else what needs to be addressed.
January 26, 2022 at 11:35 am #230555Feeny having seen him in Tesco yesterday is a right unit similar in build to Yann Songo. Am hoping that if we can get rid of some of the crap like Kenyon,Millen etc there might be scope to bring a decent centre half. That added to the hopefully soon to be announced Nuttal signing would be a brand new spine and some much needed experience and muscle.

January 26, 2022 at 12:09 pm #230559Someone on twitter mentioned David Wheatear! Could do a job until end of season and Hill has previously tried to sign him.

Davis potentially the worst captain we’ve ever had.
January 26, 2022 at 1:35 pm #230566Feeney signed.
The calibre of player we need to be signing, so a welcome addition to such a lightweight midfield.

January 26, 2022 at 2:26 pm #230567Spot on Cliff, looks a bit of a beast to me which is good, 23 games played this season so match fit and should stiffen up midfield plus scare a few opponents. Great signing IMO.

January 26, 2022 at 4:20 pm #230573Hello, Tranmere fan here. Liam Feeney was an integral part of our team last year, this year he hasn’t been quite at his best. Is it his age ? – possibly. We have better options now so he wasn’t going to get much of a look in. On his day he has pace and is strong, can cross a ball and score some goals. I hope he can add enough to your team to keep you up and send Oldham into the conference with AN Otber. All the best x

January 26, 2022 at 4:36 pm #230577Let’s hope it’s not too little too late.
Wheater would be a great addition, I remember him when he came to GP with Middlesborough, nothing got past him didn’t mess about just put the ball in the carpark.

He hasnt played for two years?

Gates are down and one person responsible and STILL doesn’t get it !
Liam Feeney – very experienced, knows what Keith wants and will control that middle. Nuttall adds an experienced outlet for the crosses in the team. Mr Sinclair brings in an attacking midfielder. Agree with another contributor a CB looks an urgent need. Don’t like naming players but Taft rarely in position and honestly our 2 CB’s don’t challenge headers !!
January 26, 2022 at 4:45 pm #230581Is Nuttall going to sign?
January 26, 2022 at 4:47 pm #230582Oh dear, maybe not so good then!

January 27, 2022 at 8:38 am #230615So at present we have had Burns , Sinclair and Feeney come in … what is happening re Nuttal , Grant ???? and also be nice to keep informed as to who is leaving…..its like the club seem hesitant to keep fans updated and they have to rely on the various media rumours and tweets are these deals so cloak n dagger and signed off with a secret handshake?
A HUGE week for SUFC ?? .. HOPE SO
January 27, 2022 at 9:25 am #230624Matheson too. I think he could push on in the next few weeks. Looked on it and hungry last game. Not sure defensively yet but certainly a skilfull attacking threat.
January 27, 2022 at 11:09 am #230632Oops forgot about Matheson .
January 27, 2022 at 11:45 am #230633“Tom Elliott [Salford – Bradford] Loan”
Another one that would have done the job?
January 27, 2022 at 12:21 pm #230637Does anyone know if we are actually signing Nuttall. It has been a few day’s now and nothing has been said, also what chance is there of Grant coming here
