Swann lives at North Wheatley and that is between Beckingham and Retford, not the way I go to Retford.
September 29, 2022 at 3:11 pm #245788So the asset stripping continues. We’ll be part time next season, it’s inevitable.
September 29, 2022 at 3:16 pm #245789Not being funny but I didn’t spend money on a season ticket to see one of our best players leave not even halfway through the season to a club a few places above.
Absolute shambles.
Some of us did try to warn you.🙂

September 29, 2022 at 3:18 pm #245790Everybody playing it down now, still it was something else to talk about.
September 29, 2022 at 3:19 pm #245791Seems odd letting him go just before were due to play them I would have thought they would drag it out another week so he can’t play against us.
Doesn’t that assume either that those running the club know what they are doing…or actually care?

September 29, 2022 at 3:54 pm #245795One of our best players JGN? Is that in hindsight or have we forgot last season when most wanted rid. Guess your pissed that Hill was sacked as well, never mind, shame they don’t do try before you buy. Why did you really buy a season ticket?.

September 29, 2022 at 4:07 pm #245797Who gives a toss about last season, he’s scored 5 goals this season and is a handful in the air, we need to keep him, he could strike up a very good partnership with Lavery, something we haven’t seen in ages in an Iron team.

September 29, 2022 at 4:44 pm #245801Too many rumours at the minute,if the club let him go we won’t have any chance of staying up.

Topics: 0I personally don’t rate him. He’s ok at this level so if he stays then we’ve kept an ok player for this league. If he goes then I think he’s easily replaced, he clearly doesn’t want to be here and will probably be happier back in the North West.
September 29, 2022 at 6:48 pm #245809Not what the COO is saying:-
UPDATE: Chief operating officer Lee Turnbull has told me that @SUFCOfficial
have received an offer from Oldham Athletic for Joe Nuttall but the striker wants to stay at the club. Turnbull says they want to keep hold of their best players.2 users thanked author for this post.

.Good, hopefully he can get a hat trick or even more at Torquay

What are you basing that quote on?

I didn’t post that Pat, Classic did
September 30, 2022 at 9:09 am #245816I Heard Nuttall found out how cheap it was at Misson mill cash and carry

Whatever we think of him, he’s still our top scorer, he’s shown a big improvement in his game this year and what makes you think that the club will replace him properly?

September 30, 2022 at 10:25 am #245822It’s alright being top goalscorer if the goals are earning us points, hopefully that will start to materialize but until it does let’s not go to overboard on him, Nuttall 5 goals 1 point Miller 5 goals 13pts, like I’ve said beginning to like him and after yesterday like him even more if he turned down a move to Oldham and his fist pumping on Saturday endures me to him, come on Joe.

Topics: 0His goals not earning us points is down to our atrocious defending, not his ability to score goals!
I agree our defending is schoolboy level, but he isn’t exactly prolific.
Anyway, whenever he pulls a Scunthorpe shirt on I will support the lad and I sincerely hope he does well enough for us to further his football career here or elsewhere.1 user thanked author for this post.
September 30, 2022 at 1:46 pm #2458301 in 2 strike rate so far this season, only 5 players in the league have scored more. His hold up play has been much better and most attacks go through him. He ain’t doing too bad for me.

September 30, 2022 at 1:56 pm #245831If he was a great centre forward he would not be here.
He is however, the nearest thing to a centre forward we have had for years.
Poor decision making and not the best first touch is what stops him being 2 or 3 levels higher. Be interesting to see how good he can get if he has a full season of games for the first time in his career.
Suspect he will be gone in January to a club a bit higher up the food chain than Oldham.
September 30, 2022 at 2:22 pm #245832It’s worth noting that the 23 league starts he’s had here is just over half of all of his league starts in his entire career. Quite notable for a guy who’s 25. That alone might be why he is not too keen to move on again.
October 1, 2022 at 7:44 am #245839SO ..Nuttall..
should he stay or should he go now
if he goes there will be trouble
if he stays he’ll hit a double (at Torquay today hopefully)3 users thanked author for this post.

This Website encouraged everyone to buy Season Tickets.
When the Nuttall story broke, the Twitter account was more interested in slating fans.
Comical.
